The Rise Of The Golden Idol: All Solutions For Under Construction

The mystery being woven through Chapter 1 of The Rise of the Golden Idol is certainly deserving of the epithet. While you'd expect the cases to be related in some esoteric way, that way doesn't make itself readily clear to begin with, requiring some leaps of logic to be made before things are made obvious.

- One machine has a photo of its operator, making it the easiest to identity.
- One machine has a mug with a name on it, let's assume the operator did not steal this mug.

This series of events is more difficult than those you've encountered previously. It will require some logical deductions about what could have resulted in this scene.
- A key part of the story is figuring out which vehicle was used to cause this scene.
- One of them is not in use. This simplifies matters somewhat.
- A section of the pipe was broken and travelled upwards, not downwards. How could this happen?
- There are two bodies here, and it should be easy to work out which order they were discovered in.
Solution
Monty Totsky used the demolisher on the sewage pipe. This resulted in the death of Joel Gregson.
Following this, the body of Luke Brown was found unexpectedly.
