It's your second day at the FDI, and things are getting more complicated. On the first day, you investigated two separate cases: a bar shooting and a UFO abduction claim. After meeting the hacker named Hal, you found a connection between the two cases. You weren't expecting your second day to be easy, were you?

Bad science.
PostsIn The Operator, today you'll be investigating three separate cases, which are even more complex than those from the previous day. Will the connections between the events continue? Will hacker Hal get in touch with you again? No matter how tough things get, this guide will be by your side.
How To Solve The Parking Case
Start your second day by logging into the FDI system as usual. At the beginning of the day, Director Mike Trench will call you and have a brief conversation asking how your day is going. After that, you'll receive a call from your most frequent contact, Supervisor Xavier Skinner.
He will inform you that you will now be speaking directly with the agents, and then Agent Pendell, who was handling The Wells Case yesterday, will call you. She will tell you that she didn't find him at the address you provided and that Wells was found dead. She will send you a file containing footage but will mention that the crucial part where Wells was shot is missing.
Open the CAM_004 file within the Parking folder. Your goal is to identify the discrepancy between the first and second parts of the video. If you look closely at the footage, you'll notice a light reflection on the windshield of the car surrounded by cones to the left of Wells in the first part.
However, this reflection is missing in the second part of the footage, indicating that one of the lights above the car has gone out. First, click on the 'Find Something Different' text above. Then, select the car's windshield and inform Alexandra Pendell about this discrepancy. Following this, she will send you a picture of the bullet lodged in the light framework and ask you to analyze the bullet.
Click on the bullet photo once to analyze it, and it will indicate that the bullet is a .45 ACP round. Then, click on the 'Find More About Bullet' text above and select the .45 ACP text. Relay this information to Agent Pendell. She will tell you that this type of bullet is used by the military or police and will return to the crime scene, asking you to find more information.
At this point, Hacker Hal, whom you met at the end of the previous day, will hack into your computer again and greet you in a chat window. He will offer to help you with this case but will mention that you will need to help him in the future. With no other choice, you will accept his deal, and he will restore the missing part of the footage for you.
Then, reopen the CAM_004 video, and you will see the missing part of the footage. First, click on the car in front of Wells in the missing part to analyze it. Then, zoom in on the part with the car and click on the driver’s face to analyze it.
Click on the driver’s face again in the Killer window to analyze it, but the system will not find a match for his face. Xavier Skinner will discuss this with you. Click on the 'Find More Info On Killer' text above, then select the driver's face with the 'no match' label. Inform Agent Pendell of this situation as well.
If you send the driver's car model to Agent Pendell, you will unlock the Ghost Car achievement.
How To Solve The Fire Case
At 13:45, Hal will tell you that it's time to repay your favor. You have no choice but to fulfill this favor. He will instruct you to enter the command ‘call 187.222.19.98 -- nosecure’ into the terminal from the applications menu in the top left. This will connect you with Agent Katherine Andrews, who will explain what has been happening in the FDI and what she has experienced.
If you type the 'help' command into the terminal, a manual will appear. This will unlock the RTFM achievement.
She will then ask you to search for Mia Cole, a superior at the FDI who died under suspicious circumstances, and her husband, Sacha Cole, in the HumanDB. Open HumanDB from the Applications menu. Search for Mia Cole and Sacha Cole, but you will get an Access Forbidden error for both, indicating that you don't have sufficient clearance to view their profiles fully.
Inform Agent Andrews about this, and she will ask you to find evidence that Mia’s fire was not an accident. Ask Hal how to access the files. He will give you a command, and you need to select the same command in the conversation window with Agent Andrews. The correct option is the second one.
Open the Fire folder. Your current objective is to prove that the fire was not an accident. Open the Ash Sample file. Clicking on it will open the ChemScan application window, and you will also receive a notification about the Chemical Analyzer.
Opening the User Manual from this notification will help you understand how to fill in the settings in the ChemScan application window. Here are the values you need to enter:
Setting
Description
Value
Ion Size
Solid and non-organic sample value.
6
Delta V
Multiply the sample weight by 100 as it is non-organic.
420
Threshold

210
Sample Matrix Size
The default value is 5.
5
After entering these values into the ChemScan screen, press Start to begin the analysis. Then, press Results and you will see some values in the properties section. Press Applications in the top left and open the CSLCA Data Report application.
Fill in the Frequency values based on the highest peaks that exceed the red zone. You will see one to five spikes, which need to be entered from largest to smallest.
Enter the following Result values into the application:
Property Name
Value
CCVT
901
PH
6.5
Frequency 1
9.27
Frequency 2
2.47
Frequency 3
1.55
Frequency 4
10.62
Enter these values and press the Calculate button in the CSLCA application. It will reveal that part of the composition is gasoline. Click on the 'Prove Fire Not Accident' text above and select Gasoline. Provide this information to Agent Andrews. As she continues talking, your screen will blur, and your character will recall a lullaby.
After talking with Agent Andrews and then Hal, Director Mike Trench will call you and ask why you searched for Mia and Sacha Cole in the database. Here, you can choose to lie or tell the truth.
How To Solve The Graveyard Case
At 4:55 PM, Agent Barry Walker will call you again. On your first day, you sent Agent Walker to the site where Connie from the Abductions Case supposedly took a photo of a UFO. Agent Walker will tell you that he found some interesting-looking stones, and under one of them, he discovered a highly decomposed body, while under another, there was a skeleton.
He will mention that there are about 100 interesting stones and will ask you to identify the skeleton, which seems to belong to a young person. He will send you the Graveyard folder, and you will gain access to it. Open the autopsy report in the 'Body 1' folder, then open the Photo Front file. Since the girl's face is damaged in the photo, click on the man's face.
You will find out that this person is Henry Jenkins. Interestingly, Henry Jenkins was the person killed in the Bar Case you solved on your first day. When you open the Photo Back file, you will see a note written by Henry Jenkins, revealing that the skeleton's name is Gabby. Interestingly, when Henry Jenkins was shot in the bar, he had a name list on him.
Open the Bar folder and view the Name_List file. There are two people named Gabby on this list: Gabby Bruce and Gabby Mills. Open the HumanDB application and enter both names. Gabby Mills will turn out to be a 64-year-old man, while the person you are looking for is a nine-year-old girl. Gabby Bruce is the correct person to search for.
The metacarpal abnormality mentioned in the autopsy report's voice recording matches the 'Known Medical Record' at the bottom of Gabby's window in HumanDB. Now, all you need to do is click on 'Identify The Body' at the top, then select Gabby Bruce's name.
Agent Walker will then ask for evidence that the body belongs to Gabby. Select the 'Known Medical Record' section at the bottom of Gabby's HumanDB window. Agent Walker will then tell you that they found an ID on the other body in an advanced state of decay, and the name is Quinton Spence.
Your current task is to find Quinton Spence on the name list where you found Gabby's name. Locate his name in the middle of the first name column, select it, and inform Agent Walker. He will then ask you to find out why the names on the list are crossed out. Open the HumanDB application and search for Quinton Spence.
The common point between Quinton and Gabby is that they are both missing. Click on the 'What Does Crossed Out Mean?' text at the top and select 'Missing' from Quinton's HumanDB window. Agent Walker will then send you the floppy disks found on Quinton. Your goal is to open the second disk, but it will be password-protected.
Open the Floppy Disk One folder that Agent Walker sent you. Then, open the FMP-1138 and Res.2 files. You will see sections with lock and key symbols and square brackets in the middle of the two folders. Place the windows side by side with FMP-1138 on the left and RES.2 on the right.
When you align the dashes in the windows, you will see the message 'To Unlock The Files Use: 105 Endian.' This means the password you need to open Floppy Disk Two is '105Endian'. After entering the password, you will see a file named My Confession, read it, and learn about the connection to Dr. Henry Jenkins and Project EVE.
Now, all you need to do is click on 'Find Next Step' at the top and then select the BioM Facility address. Inform Agent Walker about this. You can now power off your system and complete your second day at the FDI.
After completing the second day, you will have earned the 'Second Day' achievement.
