The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time Remake Is Real, Coming 2026
Earlier this year, a rather exciting leak from reliable insider Nate the Hate suggested that a new Star Fox game was on the way, as was a remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Admittedly, the date on which Star Fox was to be revealed was wrong, but there was indeed a new Star Fox game, and a further report claimed Nintendo did that deliberately to stick it to Nate personally.
While everyone was excited about Star Fox, the game's announcement did also pretty much confirm that an Ocarina of Time remake was in the works, and all we now had to do was wait for Nintendo itself to let us see it, even if the surprise has been well and truly spoiled. It did just that during this month's big Nintendo Direct.
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time Is Being Remade
Nintendo gave us a good look at the game with a short teaser trailer to close out the show. We got a nice mural giving us the story of Ocarina of Time, as well as a shot of Link asleep in bed. We didn't get any action or gameplay, nor a look at the world of Hyrule, but it's confirmation that the game exists, which is enough for now.

Nintendo loves to surprise us during its big Directs, but it won't be doing that for a t least a couple of years.
Posts By Joshua RobertsonIt did also give us a release window. Just as the previous leak suggested, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake will release this year, though we didn't get an actual date. I imagine that we'll get further details down the line, most likely at a special event for the game, as Nintendo likes to do with its big properties like Donkey Kong Bananza and the upcoming Splatoon Raiders.
