A bug stopped us from getting to the end of The Lamplighter's League, but these are our impressions of what we played
PostsOnce you unlock it after the tutorial, you'll have access to all potential sections of the Hideout except one (available in a mission shortly after unlocking this area). We recommend referring to this guide and exploring your own Hideout before you take off on the missions to come; a good agent is always prepared.
Hideout - General Area
The general Hideout area is only a space to interact with characters. Here, you can engage in the story and uncover lore about the world, your mission, and the agents you're adventuring with.
We do recommend spending time with each of the characters in this menu after each mission as their position and dialogue will change after every objective's completion.
What Is The World Map?
The World Map is your go-to for mission acceptance. You can deploy to various missions anywhere in the world once you've fulfilled their requirements to unlock them.
Each location with an acceptable mission target will be marked on your map with an icon. Hovering over it will reveal the mission's rewards, including Intel, Supplies, Skill Points (S.P.), and more.
When you select a mission for acceptance, you'll be able to determine what, if any, main story bosses may be present as well as the mission difficulty. Mission difficulty is indicated by the skulls on the right side on a scale of one to five.
The type of the mission will be indicated by the mission's marker on the map (a knife for an assassination mission, for example).
Additionally, map goals and the type of mission will be highlighted in the mission details once you select it.
Once you select a mission, you'll be given the choice of which agents you wish to deploy. In most cases, you'll be allowed three agents on an active team at any time.
Select the Start Mission button to send both your agents and your active resources to the mission location.
Some missions are timed events that can only be challenged for a certain time. Many of these are Agent Recruitment missions, indicated by the silhouette of a person on the marker.
What Is The Agents Menu?
The menu you'll be spending the most time in at your hideout will most likely be the Agents tab. In this section of the hideout, you can:
- Equip gear (belt items, accessories, weapons, and weapon mods)
- See and use cards of the Undrawn Hand
- Inspect and upgrade skills in an agent's Skill Tree in exchange for Skill Points
All deployable agents will be found within this window, and you can shuffle through each in this menu to fiddle with their load-out.
You may also inspect the unique skills and abilities unique to an agent and their class on the right side of this menu.
What Is The Allies Menu?
Within the Allies menu, you can refine the skills and abilities of allies. These characters will assist you on the field with their passive abilities rather than their active contribution.
You cannot deploy them to missions in the way you can agents.
These allies affect things from your team's stats and performance out on the field to Hideout-specific boons such as:
- Upgrading your Undrawn Hand's potential
- Crafting Equipment (like Accessories and other helpful items)
You can increase the capabilities and amount of skills allies have by researching via the Research Tree on the Allies Tab. Each ally will have their own tree.
To research an ability, you must spend Aether. Each tier on the tree will increase the number of Aether required by one.
What Is The Supplier Shop?
The Supplier is your standard item shop. Within this shop, your purchases can include healing items, bombs, and other consumable items needed on the field as well as more permanent items like armor.
You can purchase these items in exchange for Supplies.
Your Supplier's shop will increase the selection of purchasable items as you progress the story and, on rare occasions, take on specific side missions.
