Ever since The Duskbloods was first announced well over a year ago, FromSoftware has been quietly working on the game, giving us not a single sneak peek nor any communication at all. In fact, the only reason we know the Duskbloods hasn't been pushed out of 2026 is because FromSoftware parent group Kadokawa has assured investors it's still on track.

What with the game rather bizarrely being a Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive, the only place we were feasibly going to get a proper update on the game would have been a Nintendo Direct, and low and behold, that's exactly what's happened. Well, kind of, since we still don't have a proper release date.

The Duskbloods Finally Makes A Reappearance To Announce A Closed Network Test

Yes, over a year after the game's initial reveal, FromSoftware has finally given us another look at The Duskbloods, thanks to a new trailer for the game that featured at this month's big Nintendo Direct. The trailer was sadly quite brief overall and didn't show off too much about FromSoft's next game, but it did give us something to look forward to.

Right at the end of the trailer, it was confirmed that a closed network test for The Duskbloods is coming this summer. We didn't get any more details beyond that, but at least we know that something is happening this year. I'd probably hold off on expecting it to release this year, though.

The Duskbloods wasn't the only big game that Nintendo showed off this time around, as the Direct had plenty of heavy hitters.
