The Division 2 Getting Resident Evil And Splinter Cell Crossovers This Month

It's Division Day, and Ubisoft has made a slew of announcements for Tom Clancy's post-apocalyptic universe. The Divsion 2 is entering Year 5, The Division: Heartland has new details, and The Division: Resurgence is getting a new playtest later this summer. And for Resident Evil fans, Ubisoft announced a new crossover is coming to The Division 2 that'll bring some RPD to Washington DC.
While The Division 2's fifth year of seasonal content begins in June, it's starting to give away some fine costumes starting later this month. Near the beginning of today's broadcast, Ubisoft confirmed The Division 2 will receive a Resident Evil crossover first, with costumes to look like Jill Valentine, Leon Kennedy, and even Hunk.

Leon arrives first in his Raccoon City Police Department outfit on April 25. He'll be a free login reward until May 9, so just log in to get your Resident Evil threads. Details on how to collect the other costumes were not disclosed.
In addition to the Resident Evil crossover, Ubisoft is dusting off good 'ol Sam Fisher from the Splinter Cell series and bringing him to The Division 2 as a paid cosmetic. You'll be able to get Sam Fisher's gear as part of the Premium Pass for the first season of Year 5, codenamed "Broken Wings." As part of the Premium Pass, you'll need to pay and play to unlock each component.
Speaking of the new seasons, Ubisoft released a Year 5 roadmap that's bringing quite a bit of new content to The Division 2. Besides Sam and his green lasers, Broken Wings will also feature a rebuild of the Castle as well as a new rogue-like game mode called Descent. This will throw players into a simulated underground where players can fight solo or as part of a group. Expect a competitive leaderboard, unique rewards, and new build rules that are exclusive to the new mode. Descent will arrive as a free update for all players, but most other Year 5 content will require the Warlords of New York expansion.
Season 2, Puppeteers, will bring a challenging new Incursion, yet more Castle expansions, and another apparel event that hasn't been revealed. Season 3, Vanguard, will return players to New York for the holiday event, as well as yet more apparel (I'd expect a Christmas theme). And finally, Season 4 - Black Diamond will bring a new story-based DLC. Players can expect new leagues, manhunts, and events to be announced all year long.
