The Casting of Frank Stone doesn't need crossovers to tell a captivating story.
PostsThis section is pretty straightforward, but you'll want to take note of the glass on her bedside cabinetand the photo on her desk before anything else. If you don't stop to take check of your surroundings in a game like this, you're likely to miss something important. Without further ado, here's our walkthrough for Chapter 2.
Should You Pick Up The Hitchhiker?
When you leave the room and enter the hallway, you'll see an obscured figure resembling Madison herself. Press forward, and you'll find yourself back in her room, but this time, it's even more distorted. Check the photo again and go back into the hallway. Continue doing this until you enter a forest and see a strange, old fashioned TV. Turn it on and your mother will appear in the flesh, crying.
With the strange nightmare sequence over, you'll wake up for real and watch a cutscene that leads to Madison driving her car. She's on her way to a British manor in the middle of nowhere.
On the way to the manor, you'll bump into film director Linda Castle, whose car has broken down. She's trying to hitchhike the rest of the way to the manor herself. You can choose to pick her up or continue driving alone.
Pick Her Up
If you pick up Linda, you'll get a trophy. Aside from that, you'll get some unique dialogue while you finish the rest of drive, learning more about her and Madison.
Don't Stop
If you keep on driving, you'll arrive at the manor alone and explore the first section by yourself. Later on, you'll meet Bruno Stanford the Third and Linda will arrive late, clearly annoyed at being left on the side of the road.
However, she respects your skepticism of hitchhikers. Stan, on the other hand, is bewildered that you left such a beloved director behind.
Explore The Manor
Once inside the manor, head up the stairs and inspect the sheet music on the table to the right. Turn it over, and you'll learn "A Survivor's Theme".
Head up the stairs on the left and go through the door. On the table to your immediate left, you'll find Stan's business card. Along that same wall, next to the windows on a side table, you'll also find the Estate Letter—your second Storyteller Artifact.
On the other side of the room, you'll see a piano. Interact with it, and you can play the song you learned earlier to open a secret passageway.
Enter the secret passageway, go downstairs, and you'll find the Huntress Dead by Daylight doll.
Open the door, leave the room, and you'll see another door to your right. Enter and you'll meet Stan.
If you left Linda by the road, see the above section for what changes here.
Inspecting The Parlor
The Parlor section is pretty straightforward—to your right, you'll see a cabinet with a book on top. It's the Epic of Gilgamesh, a Champion Artifact.
Open it up and read the highlighted sections to add it to your collection.
CloseAfterwards, look for a handle on the wall by the entrance and interact with it to reveal theMurder Mill poster Artifact and trigger the next cutscene.
Accept The Drink Or Reject It
Augustine, your host, will enter the room and offer you a drink after pouring Stan a new one. You can either accept the offer, or turn it down.
The choice doesn't impact much, but if you say yes, you'll make an interesting, if ominous, discovery. Augustine gives you a drink in the same cup from your nightmare.
After Augustine leaves, the chapter comes to a close and we travel back in time to 1980, following the young amateur film crew behind Murder Mill.
