Unlike every other weapon in The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales, the bow's best magicite shifts dramatically as you progress, rather than settling into one ideal loadout from the start. Early on, with arrows scarce and shops the only reliable top-up, picks like Final Shot, Soul Beam, and Piercing Arrows earn their keep by squeezing maximum value from a limited supply.

Once quivers stack up and Conservation all but eliminates that problem, priority flips towards raw damage and critical-hit output instead. Below, we'll cover how to adapt across both phases, the staples worth keeping regardless, and the endgame setup that turned the bow into a genuine ranged powerhouse.

Best Magicite To Use

Unlike other weapons, the best build options you have for the bow will vary heavily as you progress through the game and end up with a reserve of the best, strongest magicite.

The main point is that to begin with, magicite like Final Shot, Soul Beam, and Piercing Arrows are incredibly high value. You start with a lower supply of arrows and little chance to recover those you lose without heading back to a shop. For that reason, getting the most value out of your arrows becomes the best use for your magicite supply.

Later in the game, though, once you have a nice supply of quivers, you'll almost never run out of arrows - something that is only accentuated by a high-rank Conservation magicite, which makes it almost impossible to run out even with Double Shot equipped. Once you don't worry about arrow supply, magicite cost is better spent on damage, critical hit, and versatility magicite.

Standouts that are always useful, regardless of the part of the game you are at, include Attack Up, Magic Homing, Linked Arrows, and Fire Shot. The latter combined with Explosives is particularly excellent.

Best Endgame Bow Build

The following build is what I used during my first playthrough, where I found that the bow made for a fantastic weapon whenever confronted with tough enemies that managed to keep a distance between themselves and Elliot.

Note that this build uses all five-star magicite and costs 58 points, two shy of the maximum.

Linked Arrows

Conservation

Fire Shot

Explosives

Critical Damage Up

Magic Homing

Charging Shot

Double Shot

Attack Up

With this setup, both regular and charged attacks become more than valid strategies for any enemies encountered, and turns the bow into an A* support weapon.
