Faroe, a populated island in Skellige's southwest may not be the most exciting place in The Witcher 3. It plays host to just two small settlements, one of which is overrun by slavers, with little relevance to Geralt's search. Despite this, it's still home to several secrets that can help you on your journey.

The Treasure Hunt: Hidden in the Depths is found on the island's south and gives you a chance to get your hands on a rare item. There is, of course, a catch; you'll have to contend with dangerous monsters best fought when you're later in the game.
Where To Start Treasure Hunt: Hidden In The Depths
This treasure hunt is in Skellige's south, on the coast southwest of Harviken. You'll have to go off-road to find a coastal cave, where a body is slumped outside. It's guarded by an endrega worker, which you'll have to kill before continuing.
While you're at Faroe, you can start The Price of Honor, a short and tragic quest that gives you a darker perspective on Skellige's faith.
Rifle through the corpse's pockets to take a letter and a key. From here, you'll have to dive into the ocean to reach the cave, where treasure awaits.
Clearing The Cave
Be prepared to swim through a tunnel to reach the cave. Keep heading straight to find the cave on the other side, where you can find air, the treasure, and a small hive of insectoid monsters.
This cave is not long enough to need Killer Whale, though you may benefit from drinking Cat, given how dark the rest of the quest will be.
You'll be facing endrega drones and a venomous arachas here. While the former are easily dealt with, the latter is far more dangerous. It's both tougher and deadlier than its smaller counterparts, taking more effort to kill.
Be especially wary of its poison-based attacks. These will rapidly sap Geralt's health if you aren't careful. Golden Oriole will protect you from its effects.
Once you've cleared the cave, use Geralt's Witcher Senses to find a chest tucked away in the back. Open for your reward and to end the quest.
