Task Bar Hero is an idle RPG that sits on your computer as you work. Your heroes fight hordes of enemies throughout three acts, each act full of multiple stages and levels.
The early stages are easy enough, but if you want to progress, you will want to think about the right hero formation, including what classes to use and where to spend your skill points. Here is everything you need to know about the best heroes in TBH: Task Bar Hero.
TBH: Task Bar Hero Tier List
In Task Bar Hero, you start out with one lonesome character, who must take on the hordes of enemies alone until he collects enough gold to add a companion. Your starter character can be one of three choices: Knight, Ranger or Sorcerer. The Priest is available to download as a free DLC, while the Hunter and Slayer classes can be purchased for a few dollars each.
The Knight is a good character to start with, as he is a decent tank, with strong shields and can sweep through the first few rounds easily on his own. After that, you will have to choose your next two additions carefully, but only after you have unlocked the additional Hero Slots with the gold earned during your runs.

Pick your fighter wisely.
Posts By Rebekah SuttonYour first additional hero slot costs 5,000 Gold, but your third will be a massive 150,000 Gold. By then, however, you should have unlocked a few upgrades in the Rune.
The Rune unlocks when your first character reaches level 3. After this, you can unlock upgrades and start earning more Gold and leveling up quicker.
There are six heroes to choose from:
- Knight
- Priest
- Ranger
- Sorcerer
- Hunter
- Slayer
A good early game build would include Knight as tank, Ranger as DPS, and Priest as support, but as you progress, you will notice that you may need to invest in more powerful characters. If you don't unlock and use other heroes, it will take you longer to complete stages while you wait to collect gold and upgrade perks in the Rune to help you gain Skill Points.

The Tier list below ranges from S Tier to B Tier:
- S Tier: the strongest hero at any level
- A Tier: a strong hero that becomes S Tier with upgraded skills
- B Tier: a good choice for early games, but not as strong as the others

Ranger
DPS
Ranged
Ranger can deal some serious damage from a range, with debuffs to enemies, making her one of the best of the free heroes in TBH. She works best when part of a team, particularly at a high level, and is worth investing time in from the start.
Priest
Support
Tank (late-game)
The Priest is a dark horse of TBH, starting out as a support class, but as they level up, they can replace Knight as the Tank. No build should be without the Priest.

Hunter
Ranged
AoE
DPS
The Hunter is very strong, with decent DPS and can turn a good team into a very strong one. Whether she is worth purchasing instead of using the free Ranger, we are not so sure. As good as her damage output is, other heroes can do just as well in a good team.
Sorcerer
Mage
AoE
Sorcerer deals elemental damage with strong AoE attacks to debuff incoming enemies. As long as you put her in a team with a strong tank, he should make a real difference to the run, but he can't work well alone as his HP is too low.
B Tier Heroes

Knight
Tank
Despite being in the lowest tier, Knight isn't a terrible choice, particularly for early game builds. He is a decent tank, and in the early stages he can be strong enough to carry you through. This is especially true if you have strong DPS and support to help push him past boss fights.
Slayer
Melee
Crowd Control
Slayer is a high-risk, high-reward version of the Knight as far as damage is concerned, which some players may not get on with, especially since this is a paid DLC character. He can be strong, and his crowd control abilities are good, but he only becomes A-Tier if his skills are leveled up.
