10 Hidden Areas In Tales Of Symphonia Remastered Everyone Completely Missed

Everyone is playing and loving the new Tales Of Symphonia Remastered, and since plenty of people are experiencing the game, and all that cooking, for the first time, people are missing plenty of things. Games like this are filled with little secrets and hidden areas, and the Tales series seems to enjoy slipping a few into each of their games.

Some hidden areas are right in plain sight, while others require you to break out your adventuring boots, and yet many still miss them. Some of the best-hidden areas serve no additional purpose at all, and others can provide unique rewards and scenes for going out of your way to find them.
10 The Cat Room
One of the strangest little hidden rooms in Tales Of Symphonia Remastered is also one of the funniest. There isn’t anything spectacular about the room unless you’re a big fan of cats.
While staying at the Altamira hotel, you’ll eventually be able to wander around at night. If you peek around the hotel enough, you’ll come across a strange room filled with dozens of cats. There’s a single person in the room, and he really doesn’t seem to think that his obsession with the furry felines is that big of a deal.
9 The Sword Dancer Cave
This area isn’t actually all that hidden, but a shocking amount of players completely miss it for whatever reason, so it’s worth mentioning. To get one of Lloyd’s best weapons, you need to defeat the Sword Dancer boss on three separate occasions.
Somehow, people miss the opportunity to fight the first form of the beast when it’s staring them in the face. After the events with the assassin at Ossa Trail, a cave will be opened, and at the back of the cave, the first fight with the Sword Dancer can be accessed.
8 The Bonus Dungeon
One of the final challenges you can take on in Tales Of Symphonia Remastered is a hidden bonus dungeon. To access it, you’ll have to head over to Syback and find a rather intriguing book.

Be warned; the dungeon is incredibly challenging, so you’ll want to bring a stacked inventory and the best items possible if you want to succeed. Most people will want to have their characters over level 70 if they want to stand a chance against the many surprises that lurk within Niflheim.
7 Katz Village
A lot of people might miss the Katz Village area of the Sylvarant map if they aren’t particularly keen explorers. There really isn’t much reason to go there throughout the game, so a lot of people might just end up ignoring it or not even knowing it was there.
It's on the little island northwest of the Sylvarant map, and it’s about what you’d expect, a village filled with those Katz you can find in towns throughout the game. The only real reason to go there outside of a side quest is to pick up some hard-to-find gels, but otherwise, it’s mostly around for the novelty.
6 The Castle Party
Anyone who plays the game will know that the castle isn’t a hidden area, but certain areas are harder to access than others. To access a fun little party for some unique costumes and a neat scene with a character of your choosing, you’ll have to first do a somewhat hidden side quest.
To access the castle party, you’ll have to get wrapped up in Zelos’s side quest to save the princess of Meltokio. Once you’ve completed that quest, you’ll be able to get an invitation to a little party that’ll give you access to some sweet rewards that the average player might totally miss out on.
5 Rebuilt Luin
This is not a completely hidden area since you can visit Luin at any point, but many people either never put in the effort to fully restore the ruined city, something that results in a massive change, or they simply forget to do so by the time they’ve finished the main story of the game.
It’s a shame that so many people fail to do this, considering the completed location is tied to some side quests, and you can get some fantastic weapons pretty quickly if you have enough funds saved up.
4 The Hot Spring
Another unique area of the game that can only be accessed through dedicated exploration, you can find the Hot Spring in the western portion of Tethe’alla. Unlike a few other areas with little purpose, you can find a pretty funny little scene if you go there.
The location is tied to a set of titles for your characters, but the scene itself and the titles that you’ll earn are worth seeing for yourself. The scene is something most people would expect from a typical anime, but it is quite funny.
3 Palmacosta Cafe
This location is a simple one, but it comes with both a fun little minigame and a title for Colette. On the east side of Palmacosta, you can find a building with a built-in restaurant. It may seem like just another place to fill out the world, but it can reward players who like to complete games.

The area is far from spectacularly hidden, but again, only those who seek it out will come across it. Considering the events of Palmacosta are pretty heavily focused on the Mayor’s building and Chocolat’s shop, it’s easy to completely miss out on the silly little minigame hidden there.
2 The Return To Martel Temple
You’ll know the name Martel Temple because it sort of acts as the tutorial dungeon of the game. Since it’s a simple area, you probably won’t ever feel the need to return unless you take heed from a few lines from the characters when you head back to the area.
While the area isn’t technically hidden, what is hidden is the reunion you can have with Corrine after the small creature died earlier on in the game. Since the area offers a whole new function and it’s not plot-crucial, players can completely miss returning to this area for its new hidden purpose.
1 Exire
The floating elven city is another location that a lot of players might have completely ignored. The sad thing is, this location is tied to not only an important optional summon but also some backstory for the always excellent Raine, Genis, and Mithos.
The floating city can take some time to locate since it moves, but it can be found in Tethe’alla. If you head there early, it may be hard to see the value of the location, but it provides plenty of fascinating revelations toward the end of the game.
