In Squirreled Away, you'll leap through the trees and scavenge the local park for materials. All of it is part of life as a squirrel, but planning ahead is important. Throughout the park, there are different caches for you to fill with nuts, fruits, and other items in case of an emergency.

PostsWhile you won't need these items (and you can't get them back), there is a benefit to storing these items. We'll help you find each of these delightful caches and fill them with delicious goodies so you can increase your storage space and carry more forageables on your adventures.
Sunrise Isle Cache Location
The first time you learn of caches, it's when you speak to Mike the squirrel on Sunrise Isle. Here, he tells you that you'll be squirreling away different food-related items in special places in the forest.
In the tree behind him is your first cache, which requires three acorns, three pebbles, and three strawberries to complete. Everything can be found in the area, and you only need to interact with the cache to fill it up once you have the required materials.
Make sure they're in your inventory before you try to place them!
Once the cache is full, you'll be rewarded with an increase in your inventory storage. This enables you to carry another full stack of items, reducing the number of trips you need to make.
The Forest Nook Cache Location
In the Forest Nook, the cache is hidden to the far west of the park, on a hill overlooking the water. This cache requests the following materials:
- Three Acorns. Acorns can be found in the bright green trees around the park.
- Three Shroom Chunks. Harvested from brown mushrooms over by the ruins to the west.
- Three Almonds. Almonds can be found in the orange trees over the doghouse and cannons on the east end of the park.
Fountain Springs Cache Location
The Fountain Springs are vibrant and colorful, and the cache can be found on the upper level of the region. Head towards the pond where the pillars are, then take a left to the trees. Next to a lamppost, there's a tree where the cache is placed.
This cache requires the following materials to complete:
- Three Acorns. Acorns can be found on the branches of the nearby trees.
- Three Lavender. Lavender can be plucked from the surrounding gardens, specifically on the lower level of the Fountain Springs by the map.
- Three Walnuts. Walnuts are also found in trees, particularlly by the tulip garden. You'll need a pickaxe to break them open after they drop.
Greenleaf Shade Location
In the furthest corner of the Greenleaf Shade, just past the vending machines, you'll find the next cache. This one requires you to climb the tree by Lotta Land and deposit three of each nut into the cache.
Three acorns, three walnuts, and three almonds will send you all over the park. Thankfully, you can collect them with relative ease and bring them back to expand your inventory.
Make sure to check the bird feeders for nuts as well to save some travel time!
Ascended Garden Cache Location
The final cache is in the Ascended Gardens, located next to the tea house. Make your way to the cliff overlooking the gardens, then climb the tree to find the stash.
This cache requires you to find three acorns, three herbs, and three almonds to fill it up. As mentioned before, the nuts can be found in various trees. Herbs are exclusive to the Ascended Gardens and can be collected on the ground from large leafy greens.
With all the caches filled up, you'll have maximum inventory storage to collect more materials for building your dream squirrel mansion!
