If you want to conquer these seas, the first thing you'll have to learn is how stamina works and how you can manage it properly. Thankfully, there are a few ways to increase it instantly as well.

How Crew Stamina Works In Skull And Bones

Crew stamina is a simple mechanic that only comes in use when you're sailing your ship in the vast ocean. You will only see the cyan-colored stamina bar at the bottom of your screen when it's not full, and there are generally two ways this gets used up:

  • If you look at the bottom right of your screen, you'll see that your ship can have three levels of speed. The first two levels are achieved by opening sails while the third level is achieved by trimming these sails. As soon as you enter the third level, your stamina will start depleting rapidly.
  • While you're in combat, you can press the Brace button to get an instant shield that can nullify the damage done to your ship as long as the shield has some health. Your stamina starts depleting as soon as you hold the Brace button, and keeps depleting quite fast as long as you keep it held.

If your stamina goes down to zero, the sail trimming or brace action will forcefully end. This is the main reason why it's important to manage your stamina since you can get defeated within moments if it runs out at the wrong time.

How To Manage And Increase Stamina

The first thing you'll notice while crafting new ships in Skull And Bones is that, while each ship specifically mentions the crew stamina it has, the actual number stays 100 for all of them. This essentially means that you can't increase your stamina by building higher-tier ships. However, there are three ways your stamina can be affected in the game:

  • The best way to get some stamina on the go is by eating food items that can regenerate it. You can eat a food item every 15 seconds, and it's recommended to put it on your Action Wheel for easy consumption.
  • Skull And Bones has various Major and Minor Utility Furniture that can affect your crew's stamina once assigned to the ship. This furniture can decrease stamina consumption while bracing or trimming, increase the speed at which your stamina regenerates, and even increase your maximum stamina.
  • You can find Pirate Bonfires at every outpost by going inland and interact with them. This will give you extra stamina regeneration speed for the next 30 minutes.
