Summary

  • Schedule 1's sole developer has shared a first look at its next update.
  • The images include what appears to be a warehouse you'll be able to use for storing product.
  • No firm date for the next update's release, but players are hopeful it will be rolled out this weekend.

From Blue Prince to Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, there have already been a few pleasant surprises in video games in 2025. None have been more surprising than Schedule 1. A drug-dealing co-op game that has taken Steam by storm, and now its sole developer has provided a first look at what's to come in its next big update.

The dev, who goes by Tyler_TVGS on Twitter, shared three screenshots from the next Schedule 1 update, confirming that it's almost ready to be rolled out for the open beta. There are no descriptions attached to the images, and while one of them is clearly a jukebox, what exactly the other two are is up for debate.

"We've got Schedule 1 at home" vibes.

That has quickly led to the images being shared on the r/Schedule_I subreddit so its players can dissect what they've seen and try to figure out what's to come. The leading theory is that the big warehouse-looking interior is either somewhere to store all your product between making it and selling it, or maybe just another place to produce it. The Stash & Dash branding on the wall has me leaning towards the former, the update giving players somewhere substantial to store their drugs if you've reached a point where you're making stuff faster than you can shift it.

A First Look At Schedule 1's Next Update

We Could Be Standing In That Warehouse By The Weekend

The room in the third image is a little harder to place since it doesn't have a sign potentially giving away its function. It could be a new place of residence, something Tyler has mentioned before when discussing what they have planned for future Schedule 1 updates. One of the many hopes shared in the replies to the Reddit thread below is that one of the new rooms/buildings acts as a storage facility for all your extra cash, further allowing them to use Schedule 1 to live out their Breaking Bad fantasy.

Tyler doesn't mention when exactly the update will go live, but the "almost ready" tag coupled with giving us a first look at some of what's to come has many hopeful it will be here by the weekend. If it does feel like your Schedule 1 drug empire has been stalling due to a lack of ways to grow and progress, sit tight, that update is coming very soon.

Tyler has promised a lot of stuff for Schedule 1's future. The game is still technically in early access with its solo dev revealing they still have two or three years of work to do before it gets a full release. Suffice to say, if they stick to it, we could be playing Schedule 1 for a very long time, and the version of the game we're playing in three years will look very different from the one we're playing now.
