Best Tank Weapons
When you set up a tank, you should focus on damage and durability above all. Choose the Primary Weapon with the highest Attack rating, regardless of other stats. In general, the higher the caliber, the better!
Tank cannons are also used to destroy rocks. Black rocks are harder, and require higher-level shells to break.
The Secondary Weapon should be a Machine Gun or Gatling Gun that you'll primarily use while the main cannon is reloading, or to quickly clear out groups of small enemies. Look for models with a high ammo capacity, since they'll be less likely to run out. By the time you empty a magazine, your main cannon should be ready to fire once more.
Weapons like the Anti-Material Rifle are usually redundant on a tank, since vehicles and bots are already vulnerable to the main cannon.
Best Tank Engine And Suspension
The Tank Engine is used to Boost in short bursts and avoid attacks. Look for models like the 7-Cylinder Radial Engine that have a high Boost Recovery, ensuring that you always have at least a little bit of Nitro when you need it.
Choose your Fender based on its Defense rating. In most cases, this will come at a slight loss of Speed, but not enough to matter. The Tank simply isn't fast enough to dodge everything, so it's important to be able to suffer damage without fear of blowing up.
Despite their bulk, Tanks have excellent maneuverability thanks to their rotating treads. Use this to your advantage!

PostsBest Tank Extras And EX Chips
A Tank doesn't need to be fancy, so any additional upgrades can focus on attack, defense, or both. Extra Armor is a great choice, since Tanks have such a high HP and Defense already that the percentage multiplier will provide even more value.
Consider using an HEP Ammo Chip. This makes the cannon disrupt enemy vehicles' drive systems on a hit. Assuming they survive, they'll be a sitting duck for the next shot.
Tank Combat Strategy
Tanks are suited for fighting on flat ground, either in the open or with large rock formations or buildings to use as cover. Start encounters by spraying the area with machine gun fire. This should clear most of the smaller enemies and even put a little damage on light bots or elites.
While the machine gun is reloading, switch to your main gun and pick a target. Carefully aim and fire methodical shots; most vehicles will go down in one or two hits, while bosses can take dozens of shells. Work your way from the smallest enemies to the largest; that way you can face the biggest foe one-on-one.
Fire slightly ahead of moving targets to make sure that you hit them.
Save your Boost fuel for when an opponent is about to charge or fire a powerful weapon. In most cases, you'll be able to get out of the way... barely. You can take lots of hits, but keep an eye on the vehicle's health and have Repair Kits ready if it gets low.
Tanks can handle nearly any enemy on even ground, but they struggle to hit airborne enemies since their guns can't aim at a high angle. If you're fighting Pteranos or other flyers, try switching to something like the Jump Bot.
