Sand Land's Dirt Buggy takes some detours to obtain and is completely optional, but it's well worth the effort to get your hands on one of the fastest vehicles in your arsenal. It's only slightly slower than the Motorbike, and much more maneuverable, making it the perfect vehicle for covering a lot of ground while still exploring the hidden areas of Sand Land.

PostsWhile it's susceptible to sustained attacks, the Dirt Buggy can handle itself in combat, especially against similarly-mobile foes like bandits and groups of foot soldiers. Here's how to set up your Dirt Buggy for success.
Dirt Buggy Weapons
Dirt Buggies use Rocket Launchers, which often deal Incendiary damage. They're not very accurate, but as long as they land near the target they'll do damage with their explosion and the subsequent area of flames.
If you need a more precise weapon, the Secondary Slot is fitted for Machine Guns. You should be careful, however, since this weapon is front-facing, which can make it difficult to line up a shot while you're riding around. Try using an Autofire variant with a high ammo capacity so that you can just keep shooting as you race through the battlefield - you're bound to hit something!
Like the Motorbike, the Dune Buggy can drift. Use this to execute quick turns and get the best firing angle!
Dirt Buggy Engine And Suspension
The Dirt Buggy is a very fast vehicle, second only to the Motorbike. Using Boosts in combat are only necessary for quick bursts of speed to escape attacks. As such, pick an Engine with a high Boost value, even if it has a longer cooldown.
Stabilizers make ideal Suspension Parts for a Dirt Buggy, since they enhance the vehicle's already-great handling and add some extra Defense that many other Suspensions don't.
Dirt Buggies must go forward or in reverse in order to move, like the Car and Motorbike. This makes them slightly less easy to control than Tanks and Jump-Bots, but their speed makes up for it.

PostsDirt Buggy EX Chips
If you can find one suited for Rocket Launchers, try installing an HEP Ammo Chip in your Dune Buggy. This will cause your rockets to knock out enemy vehicle's drive systems in addition to setting them on fire! Assuming that the flames don't finish them off, they won't be able to dodge the next rocket you send their way.
Dirt Buggy Combat Strategy
When you see a group of enemies while you're out with your Dirt Buggy, move to the outskirts of their patrol area and launch rockets at the largest foes, and any dense groups. While your rockets are reloading, hit the Boost and charge them, with your Machine Gun blazing. Don't stop; blow past the enemies then execute a drift turn to face the survivors. Reload your Machine Gun, fire another rocket salvo, and repeat the process.
If the enemy has fast vehicles (likely other Dirt Buggies), clear out the others first then start chasing the speedy foes. Get behind them and whittle them down with your Machine Gun, or fire a rocket slightly over their heads so that it impacts where they're about to be.
