It's probably going to be a while until we get another Super Mario Bros. Wonder, or any new 2D Mario game for that matter. That'll be why Nintendo and First 4 Figures have teamed up to try and fill that void with an official new Elephant Mario statue.

First 4 Figures Reveals A Big Old Elephant Mario Statue

It won't have any trouble filling that void either, considering its size. Mario and the other characters who can consume the Elphant Fruit in Mario Wonder grow considerably in size when they use the power-up. I mean, why wouldn't they? They are turning into elephants. That's why the Elephant Mario statue should also be pretty sizable.

The statue is almost 17 inches tall and more than 19 inches wide thanks to the trunk-flicking pose coupled with Mario's hunched-over stance. Not only is it tall and wide, but it's also incredibly heavy. First 4 Figures' Elephant Mario weighs 12.6kg. That's roughly 23.5 times heavier than a Switch 2, or the same weight as 3,600 Switch 2 cards.

Why compare its weight to those things, in particular? I'm not really sure. Feels appropriate, though.

The Exclusive Edition Comes With An Elephant Fruit

First 4 Figures

There is an exclusive edition of the Elephant Mario statue that weighs even more. That's because it comes with a real-life replica of the Elephant Fruit Mario has to eat in Wonder to transform into a dungarees-wearing pachyderm. The fruit comes perched on a red Mario block so that it looks just like it does when it emerges from a block in-game.

The Elephant Mario statue itself is the same model, right down to the height and weight, whether you buy the standard edition or the more expensive exclusive edition. It's standing on a patch of grass so that it can be properly displayed, and it is incredibly detailed and as accurate as possible since it is an officially licensed Nintendo product. Pre-orders for both statues are now available, and for a slight discount. $720 for the exclusive edition, and $630 for the Elephant Fruit-less standard statue.

First 4 Figures is an industry leader when it comes to creating high-end video game statues and collectibles. The collectibles brand is responsible for this incredible Metal Sonic statue that was released last year, and also the very popular Great Grey Wolf Sif statue that was a big hit with Dark Souls fans.

First 4 Figures has also worked with Nintendo before on some of its biggest IPs. It takes a lot for Nintendo to trust a third-party with its creations, so you know First 4 Figures is doing something right. Among the statues in its Nintendo portfolio are Link's Master Sword and a replica of Isabelle from Animal Crossing.
