8 The Continuing Saga Of The Sea Urchins
The sea urchins are the kind of thing you might see and smile about and then never really think about again, but someone involved in Wonder clearly thought about them a lot. Wii players enjoying New Super Mario Bros. Wii collected coins and swam on through the secret pipe in World 4-3 that has two Mega Urchins, a Star Coin and a bunch of regular Mario coins in the shape of a heart.
The entire scene was recreated in Super Mario Wonder where players will discover a hidden room after traveling through a pipe in a water level. Here, you will see two Urchins, two Cheep Cheeps, and coins in the shape of a heart. From this little Easter egg, it's clear the two Urchins are still madly in love and have apparently started a family. Good for them!
7 Yoshi Reacts To Elephant Characters
In a little extra detail that is somehow both cute and heartbreaking, Yoshi will react when characters ride him while wearing the elephant suit. Jump on Yoshi's back at any other time as any character, and he will behave normally, serving as the steadfast and trustworthy steed he is known to be.

6 Save The Goombas
There is a lot of conversation in Super Mario Wonder. Much of it comes from talking flowers, which can be muted if you get annoyed by them, but there are little pieces of conversation to hear throughout the game. Listen closely, and you may hear some discussing the taste of the goombas.
The goombas are a Mario mainstay. They're the mushrooms who live in Mushroom Kingdom, along with lots of other creatures, and they are clearly sentient and self-aware... which makes the idea of eating them rather gruesome. Maybe the Mushroom Kingdom is even darker than we all suspected.
5 Mario's Feet
They say you can tell a lot about a person by their shoes. And what you'll notice about Mario's shoes is that they have a slight blur to them when he is moving quickly in Super Mario Wonder.

Find this secret, and you will see a repeated version of the bonus level from SMB3 in Super Mario World, complete with classic Mario music. This little visual callback to a previous title is a nod and a hug to longtime Mario fans.
3 Audio Easter Egg
In the first world you will visit, listen closely when you enter the Wonder Tokens Tune level. You will hear a familiar little ditty if you're a longtime player of Mario games.

2 Finding the Hidden Stuff
How do you know if you found all the hidden secrets in a level? After all, if it's hidden then you don't know it's there to know you missed it! Well, there is an Easter egg that will help you achieve full completion.
When you clear a level, a card will pop up on the screen. Right below the difficulty rating, you will see a green circle with a check mark that has a ghostly or watermark-like quality to it. If you don't see this green circle, there's something hidden in the level that you missed.
1 Character Matters
To truly find all the hidden details in Super Mario Wonder, you’re going to see it from every available perspective. Depending on which character you choose for each level, there are some details you may never get to see.
There are hidden blocks in some levels of the game that only appear for specific characters and don't show up for anyone else. That means there are hidden climbing vines, special power-ups, and extras that could be lurking anywhere.
