During your Stellar Blade journey, you'll come across many diverse creatures with which to battle. These are referred to as Naytiba, and they have taken over a post-apocalyptic Earth largely devoid of humans. While they're all threatening in their own right, few are as disgusting as Corrupter.

It bears a resemblance to a horse, with the key difference being its glowing green head dotted with spikes and harmful goo; watch out, aichmophobes. You'll encounter Corrupter in the opening hours of the game, making it one of the hardest enemies you'll have faced up to this point. Luckily, its bark is worse than its bite, or toxic spikes in this case.

How To Defeat Corrupter

The first aspect of Corrupter's kit you should be aware of is its ranged abilities. Corrupter will back away from you and spout toxic goo, and while these volleys can be parried, they will not affect its Balance.

It may also throw out a variation of this attack that's unblockable and must be dodged. Wait for Corrupter to stop firing projectiles before going back on the offensive.

The most common attack you'll be faced with in this fight is a bull charge. Corrupter will lower its head and charge you three times. Dodge each of its attempts, and after the third try, it will fall down, allowing you to wail on it for a few seconds.

If you parry when Corrupter charges at you, it will be knocked down immediately, letting you attack it even earlier.

When you close the distance between the two of you, the beast will try to knock you about with its spiked head, swinging at you repeatedly.

Block these attacks until you understand the timing, then begin integrating parries when it tries this tactic again. Be on the lookout for a version of this move that you'll have to Blink through; nail the timing, and you'll be able to do a bit more damage to its backside.

As you get towards the end of Corrupter's health bar, it incorporates a few new moves into its repertoire. It will raise its head to the sky and spout goo all over its immediate surroundings.

This is easily avoidable by dodging away, or you can hold block and tank the hits.

Corrupter adds two new attacks you can Blink through at low health, one where it slams its head into the ground and another where it shoots its spikes. Wait for these animations to trigger, dodge, and keep the pressure on.

The charging attack is altered, now being unblockable, but Corrupter only runs at you once before collapsing. Take advantage of its weakened state and unleash your most powerful abilities as it lies on the floor.

A lot of the common enemies you slay in Stellar Blade are fun to parry, but the Corrupter boss fight proves that dodging is an important part of your toolkit as well.

Capitalize on Blink opportunities and integrate precise evasive maneuvers to finish this monster with ease.
