Starfield's Second Expansion Leaks In New Bethesda Trademark

Summary
- Bethesda has filed a trademark for "Starborn", which is seemingly the next Starfield expansion after Shattered Space.
- Starborn are a group of humans who travel the multiverse by accessing the Unity through the mysterious Artifacts and Temples found in-game.
Last month, Bethesda announced that it will be launching a second Starfield DLC after Shattered Space. We don't know anything about this new expansion yet, but a trademark filing might have revealed its name and some interesting lore implications.
Bethesda has applied for the word "Starborn" which, for those who haven't played Starfield or just need a memory jog, is a group of enhanced humans who have passed through the Unity, i.e. the centre of the universe. Going through the Unity allows a Starborn to be reborn in a new universe, which is a process that they can repeat over and over again.
We still don't know who or what created the Artifacts and Temples required to reach the Unity, but perhaps this expansion will shed more light on their creator.
At the end of the game, you're presented with this same choice—leave the Unity behind and live out the rest of your life, or step through and enter another universe altogether, beginning New Game Plus.
Todd Howard Says That When Planning An Expansion, It's Not About Answering Every Question
While the promise of more Starborn lore is exciting, Todd Howard said that when going into a new expansion, Bethesda's goal isn't to "answer every question."
Instead, it looks at what might be a good angle and what can be added in terms of experience and tone, so don't expect the curtain to be pulled back completely on the mysterious Artifacts and Temples and the origins of the Starborn.

Starfield's upcoming Shattered Space expansion needs to let me carry more stuff.
PostsIn the base game, Starborn are introduced as a new, hostile enemy type that will attack you on sight no matter what, but you can find a trader known as the "Mysterious Captain" in a random grav jump encounter while a lot of the later plot revolves around the Hunter and Emissary, two vital characters that are a lot chattier than their gun-ho friends.
Maybe we'll meet more of their ilk soon enough, but first, we've got Shattered Space to look forward to when it launches later this year.
