Bethesda has a pretty long history of releasing slightly buggy titles that have all sort of weird exploits that players can use. Starfield is admittedly a lot more polished than the studio's previous titles, but fans have already managed to find a relatively simply way to get infinite cash, and it harkens back to the good ol' days of scamming shopkeepers in Skyrim.

If you're a big fan of Skyrim, you may be aware of a glitch that allowed you to clip underneath Whiterun in order to steal the contents of all of the city's shopkeepers. Forwhatever reason, Skyrim stores the entire stock of a shop in a chest underneath the actual store, and anyone that clips underneath the map can steal themselves a giant stock of items and cash with zero repercussions. Turns out Starfield does the exact same thing.

A YouTuber named vNivara recently uploaded a video of them managing to clip underneath the map in New Atlantis, and it's actually pretty straight forward (thanks PC Gamer). All you need to do is go to the New Atlantis commercial district, go over the narby waterfall, and slip through a small crack in the cliff. From there, all you need to do is follow the video down below to make your way back to all of the district's stores, most of which have a chest underneath them ripe for plundering.

While there are only a few chests to loot, one of them contains a pretty massive 72,000 credits, which can be looted again and again should you ever find yourself strapped for cash. Unfortunately, these chests will only refresh every 48 hours in-game, so you'll need to leave the area, find a place to wait for a while, and then repeat the process if you want to loot them a second or third time. Surely it's worth it for infinite cash though.

You'll also need to make you sure you set off prepared in order to navigate around the underneath of New Atlantis effectively. First off, you need to make sure you have a boost pack with the Power Boostpack mod, as you'll need to do a whole bunch of boosting to actually get to the area with the chests. You also need to make sure you have Rank 2 in the Boost Pack Training Skill for some extra maneuverability.

Once you have both, you'll be able to scam New Atlantis' vendors to your hearts content, with only your own moral compass to stop you. It's not like that's stopped Bethesda fans before though.
