What Are Chlorosilanes Used For?
Chlorosilanes are primarily used forupgrading your weapons or building structures at your outposts.
You will need Chlorosilanes to complete the Weaponry research projects, Optics and Laser Mods 1 and 2. This will unlock the ability to craft Holographic Sights, Long Scopes, and Short Scopes.
Chlorosilanes are also a crafting material used to create several Optic mods for your weapons. You need them to make:
- Short Scope: Provides a 2x magnified view.
- Medium Scope: Provides a 4x magnified view.
- Long Scope: Provides a 6x magnified view.
- Recon Scope: Marks enemies while aiming.
- Reflex Sights: Provides quicker target acquisition and visibility.
Chlorosilanes are also needed to complete a few Outpost Development research projects.
- Completing Resource Extraction 1 and 2 allows you to use Commercial Extractors and Industrial Extractors.
- Completing Robots 2 allows you to use Logistics Robots and Power Management Robots.
You will need to level up your Outpost Engineering skill to fully complete these research projects.
