Here's everything you need to know about the Horse Flute in Stardew Valley, and where you can get it.
PostsOne building you can put up is the Stable, and this will allow you to own a horse. The horse you obtain after making the stable is mature enough to ride on right away, and it's a much speedier option to get around town compared to going on foot. That being said, there are plenty of ways to boost your horsepower.
How To Give Your Horse A Speed Buff
Riding on your horse is a faster way to get to places because of the +30% movement speed it grants compared to running. It's also a great way to travel across your farm since you won't get slowed down by crops.
If you're looking for even more speed, there are ways to get your horse zooming from one point to another even faster.
Feeding Your Horse Carrots
One easy way to give your horse a boost is to feed it a Carrot. Carrot Seeds can be obtained by digging up seed spots, opening chests and mystery boxes, and breaking containers from Winter 21 to Spring 23.
You can plant carrots during the entire spring season, and it only takes three days for them to be ready for harvest.
When you have your carrots, you can feed one to your horse once a day. This will grant it a +0.4 speed bonus for one whole day.
The quality of the carrot won't have any effect when fed to your horse.
Feed your horse a carrot first thing in the morning in order to maximize the speed boost for as long as possible.
Reading A Speed-Granting Book
You can also make your horse faster by reading Horse: The Book. This is a book that you can purchase from the bookseller for 25,000 gold.
After reading the book, you'll be granted a permanent +0.5 speed bonus while riding your horse.
The bookseller sets up shop in Pelican Town twice a month. You can check out the dates of his visit using a calendar. The days he'll be in town are marked with an image of a hot air balloon.
How To Use Dishes To Make Your Horse Faster
Your horse's speed isn't only affected by its own stats. Your own speed stacks with the horse's, which makes speed-granting dishes important if you want the fastest possible speed when riding your horse.
Drinking Coffee
One easy way to get your movement speed up is to get caffeinated.
Drinking Coffee or a Triple Shot Espresso will not only grant you a +1 boost to your running speed. It will also grant that same boost to your horse.
You can get Coffee by putting five Coffee Beans in a Keg. If you don't have any beans, you can also buy Coffee from Gus at the Saloon.
Unlike a Carrot, the speed granted by Coffee doesn't last the entire day. You'll need to have a couple in your bag in order to re-apply the buff throughout the day.
Eat Fast Food
Apart from drinks, there are food items that will grant increased speed when eaten. This can be stacked with the boost granted by Coffee in order to really give you the quickest feet in town.
You cannot eat different speed-granting cooked dishes in order to stack the buffs they grant. Eating a second dish will replace the effects of any previous dish eaten.

How To Use Crafted Items To Make Your Horse Faster
Apart from consumables, there are also items that you can craft that will give riding on horseback an added boost.
Lay Down Paths
Compared to bare ground, moving across flooring grants you an increased speed of +0.1.
If you consider all the ground you have to cover, taking a path covered with flooring will cut your travel time down by a significant amount.
Lay down paths on your usual route in order to ensure you're getting to your destinations with the shortest travel time possible.
Use The Statue Of Blessings
When you unlock Farming Mastery in the Mastery Cave, you'll be granted the ability to craft the Statue Of Blessings.
