What Is Stardrop Tea?
Stardrop Tea is a universally loved gift that you can present to the residents of Stardew Valley to greatly improve your relationship with them. Whether you're looking to romance an NPC or just make a friend, giving that NPC Stardrop Tea will grant you either one or three full friendship hearts with them, depending on timing.
Because Stardrop Tea is a universally loved gift, you can give it to every NPC in the game and on a non-birthday day, you will earn one full heart of friendship with them.
If you're in no hurry to befriend the villagers, save your Stardrop Tea in a chest on your farm. If you get a quest that requires a certain friendship level with an NPC, you can use the tea to improve your relationship. For example, The Mayor's Shorts quest requires you to have enough friendship to enter Marnie's bedroom.
To get the most bang for your buck with this tea, save your Stardrop Tea for an NPC's birthday or for the Feast of the Winter Star.
On birthdays or during the Feast of the Winter Star, gifting an NPC Stardrop Tea will give you three full hearts of friendship with them.
Because of it's high relationship point value, Stardrop Tea is a great item to save for NPC birthdays, and a great tool for when you're trying to romance one of Stardew's many eligible singles.
Stardrop Tea is also special because it doesn't count towards the daily or weekly gift limit. You can give an NPC Stardrop Tea and a second gift on the same day.
You will get more relationship points for giving them their favorite gift at the same time.
If you have a fetch quest for an NPC, you can bring the item to them, gift them Stardrop Tea, and give them a second gift all at once. Doing this will greatly increase the amount of friendship you earn with that character in a single day.
While Stardrop Tea is a great gift for other characters, your character cannot use it themselves. Stardrop Tea is not drinkable.
The only thing you can use Stardrop Tea for besides gifting, is selling it. Selling Stardrop Tea will give you 77g.
You cannot use Stardrop Tea as a universal gift in Qi's Kinstatic.aayyy.com/topic/dn/ess quest. Stardrop Tea will not count towards the 50 gift total needed for Qi's quest.
How To Get Stardrop Tea
Stardrop Tea is one of the more difficult to obtain items in Stardew Valley, and procuring yourself a cup of tea won't exactly be, well... a cup of tea. There are currently four methods for obtaining Stardrop Tea.
Since you cannot drink Stardrop Tea, there is no way to craft or cook it. Stardrop Tea counts as an object and not as food.
You can get your first Stardrop Tea by presenting five Prize Tickets to Mayor Lewis's Prize Machine. You can get up to three Stardrop Teas from the Mayor's Prize Machine all at different levels.
To get more Stardrop Teas, you will need to either fish for Golden Fishing Treasure Chests or get Stardrop Tea as a reward for completing one of the Raccoon's quests at the sixth or higher level.
Getting Stardrop Tea from the Raccoon is not guaranteed. Rewards for completing the Raccoon's quests are randomized after the sixth level.
To find Stardrop Tea in Golden Fishing Treasure Chests, you must have unlocked Fishing Mastery at the Mastery Cave - which you can achieve by filling all of your skill bars and earning 10,000 additional skill points. Getting Stardrop tea from a Golden Fishing Treasure Chest is a seven percent chance.
The final way you can get Stardrop Tea is as a reward for completing the Helper's Bundle at the Community Center's Bulletin Board. The Helper's Bundle is one of the possible randomized bundles you can get when choosing the Remixed Bundles in the farm creation menu.
