Additionally, the exact answers are now hidden, just in case you want to find the solution by yourself.
Where To Find Professor Snail
As mentioned above, Professor Snail can be found on Ginger Island. The professor's tent can be found north of the starting beach. From here, head to the northern area and then follow the path until you come to a little green tent.
Prior to heading in, you will need to rescue Professor Snail. To the left of his tent, there is a Dig Site with a broken bridge. By exchanging ten Golden Walnut's with the parrot there, you can repair the bridge and enter the Dig Site.
How To Rescue Professor Snail
Once at the Dig Site, you will notice a blocked-off cave that Professor Snail is trapped in. You can break these rocks with the following items.
- Cherry Bomb
- Bomb
- Mega Bomb
- Explosive Ammo
When the rock breaks, Professor Snail will be freed, and you can then interact with him at the Island Field Office. Once here, he will not leave. If you don't have any bombs or ammo with you, don't worry! You can come back on a different day; he will still be trapped.
How To Complete The Island Survey
via Jess/SteamNow, it's time to complete some surveys. The first question involves counting the number of purple flowers on the island. These flowers can be found on the 'upper' layer of the island. Near the field office, you can spot them on the cliff above the tent. The second question involves counting the purple starfish, which are the little creatures that you can find in the sand.
Overall, simply head to each area of Ginger Island and tally up how many starfish and flowers you see. If you are struggling to get the answer right, you can expand the table below to see the answer.

Rewards For Completing The Island Survey
If you answer a survey correctly, you will receive one Golden Walnut. This means that in total, you can earn two walnuts by completing both surveys.
In addition to completing the surveys, you can also complete the four fossil collections.
When you have completed all the fossil collections and both surveys, you will then receive the Ostrich Incubator, which is used to hatch Ostrich Eggs.
