With fall-themed Wild Seeds, you can also grow your own Common Mushrooms. Wild Seeds (Fa) are made by combining the following materials.
- 1x Blackberry
- 1x Common Mushroom
- 1x Hazelnut
- 1x Wild Plum
Once fully grown, the seeds will have a chance to grow some mushrooms.

Red Mushrooms are quite deadly but sell for a decent amount of money. You can find Red Mushrooms in the Secret Woods during the Summer, as well as any time of year while exploring The Mines.
Overall, the best thing to do with the Red Mushroom is to sell it, however, it is used in the Life Elixir recipe, which can be quite helpful while exploring Skull Cavern.

You can find Purple Mushrooms in The Mines (after floor 80) and within Skull Cavern.
The Wizard may send you a Purple Mushroom in the mail with a friendship greater than zero. Additionally, he also loves receiving them as gifts.

Morel Recipes
The Morel mushroom is only used in the Life Elixir, shown above in the Red Mushroom section.
Additionally, you will need one Morel for the Fried Mushroom recipe, shown in the Common Mushroom section.
Growing Mushrooms In The Farm Cave
via Izzybugg/SteamOn your farm, you can find a small cave near the northern entrance. Once you've made 25,000g, you can choose to turn this into a mushroom cave or a bat cave, in which bats will drop fruit.
With the mushroom cave option selected, you will have a chance to find every mushroom type except Magma Caps. This is a great way to get mushrooms on your farm, regardless of the season.
Mushroom Trees
via pookkah/SteamMushroom trees can spring up on your farm, yielding Common, Red, and Purple Mushrooms. These trees have a small chance to appear during the Fall, and have an additional chance to spread 'seeds' to nearby areas with nothing in the way.
Overall, the chance of a Mushroom tree appearing during the Fall is five percent each day. If a tree does spawn, it will transform an existing tree into a Mushroom version, with stumps becoming Mushroom stumps.
Upon cutting down a Mushroom tree with an axe, you will receive a handful of Red or Purple Mushrooms.
The best thing to do with Mushroom trees is to attach a tapper to the side. This will give you a steady supply of mushrooms without ruining the tree. The mushroom received from the tapper is a bit complex to figure out, as it's dependent on the previous harvest.
