Whether you’re proud of your collection of crops and goods and want to show them off in the Grange Display contest, or you just enjoy a chance to play a good carnival game, the Stardew Valley fair has a little bit of something for every kind of player.

Stardew Valley Fair Overview

The Stardew Valley Fair is one of the annual events that takes place in Pelican Town, happening on Fall 16 and running from 9AM to 3PM each year.

Like the other festivals in Stardew Valley, you'll find all the residents of Pelican Town all around a festively decorated town square, so be sure to stop and talk to the residents to earn some friendship points with them for the day of the festival.

While there's the shop and a free Survival Burger from Gus, the two major focuses of the Stardew Valley Fair are the Grange Display contest taking place outside of Pierre and Harvey's in the northern part of town, as well as the array of carnival game stalls in town center from which you can earn a number of Star Tokens.

Star Tokens are the currency of the Stardew Valley Fair, which means that the shop only accepts them as payment for both the fixed and rotating stock. And given that this is where you can find one of the Stardrops, it's worth it to save up that day.

The Grange Display Contest

Requiring some planning ahead of time, the Grange Display contest is an annual tradition in the Valley in which you'll showcase nine of your best items in a competition for a varying number of Star Tokens depending on how well you score.

Head to your Grange Display and choose nine various items of high quality to showcase. You'll be scored on variety and individual item qualities for the competition, so be sure to bring a plethora of things, all of which are of high quality.

We've got a full guide to the Grange Display contest with more detailed information.

Attractions Reward You With Star Tokens

Around town on the day of the Fair, you'll find six different carnival game stalls your farmer can try out in an attempt to earn Star Tokens when they win. The games are detailed in the table below.

Notes

Fishing

50g

Fish grant between 12-25 Star Tokens, while other items reward you with one.

Fortune Teller

100g

While not a Star Token option, the Fortune Teller will share information about a few of the townsfolk and one of your skills.

Slingshot

50g

Earn points by shooting targets (5 for purple, 2 for blue, 1 for red) with a Slingshot, and earn a multiplier at the end for how accurately you shot.

Smashing Stone

N/A

Interact with the stone when the bar is at its highest or lowest on the bar and receive a Star Token for each exact hit.

Spinning Wheel

Bet of Star Tokens

Bet at least one Star Token and choose either green or orange before the host spins the arrow to see where it will land. Correct bets double the Star Tokens you bet on the spin.

Token Seller

50g/Star Token

The Token Seller isn't a game booth, but she'll sell you one Star Token for 50g, with no limit to how many you can buy. If you have more gold than time, it's a valid way to buy as many Star Tokens as you need for the items you'd like.

The quickest way to reliably earn Star Tokens is by playing the Spinning Wheel repeatedly and choosing green when it's time to bet, as green has a significantly higher probability of being pulled. Just don't get greedy with your bets, as it won't always land on green.
