One of the most valuable items in Stardew Valley is the Stardrop. Here's how to obtain all seven.
PostsMystic Stones can spawn in four different locations in Stardew Valley with varying rarity, but when you manage to find and break them, they’ll contain not only two valuable types of ore, but they prove a reliable source of Prismatic Shards, which makes Mystic Stones kind of invaluable in Stardew Valley.
What Are Mystic Stones?
In Stardew Valley, Mystic Stones are rare stones you'll find while Mining - but only on seldom occasions, as Mystic Stones can be tougher to find than Iridium Ore sometimes!
When you find these purple rocks with teal swirls on them, be sure to stop and break them open with your strongest pickaxe! Mystic Stones can contain Iridium Ore and Gold Ore, and while they're definitely not the only way to get them, they've also got a pretty high chance of spitting out a Prismatic Shard for you as well.
Where Can You Find Mystic Stones?
Since they're among the rarer of the stones and nodes you'll find in Stardew Valley and with such a special range of items you may get, it shouldn't be surprising to learn that these Mystic Stones are pretty rare.
You have a chance of finding Mystic Stones:
- On level 100 or deeper in the Pelican Town Mines.
- These are the lava floors, so the color scheme on the Mystic Stones blends in - keep your eyes peeled.
- Spread throughout the Skull Cavern in the Calico Desert.
- Though there doesn't seem to be a floor limit here, they become more prevalent the further down you venture.
- Occasionally as random spawns in the Volcano Dungeon on Ginger Island.
- There aren't specific floors, so keep your eye out!
- Periodically spawning in The Quarry past the mines in Pelican Town.
- Unless you've bulldozed the naturally-occurring resources here for something like Kegs!
As with all other kinds of ore and loot drops, your odds of finding a Mystic Stone on any given day will be directly impacted by your Luck for that day. If you head to one of these locations on a good Luck day, your odds of finding a Mystic Stone are pretty good!
