The game’s characters will feel similar if you are well-versed in modern hero-shooters like Overwatch and with the three different roles you can surely find a Hunter that will suit your playstyle. There are definitely stronger characters than the rest, but they all offer unique experiences that will delight just about any fan of competitive games and Star Wars as a whole.

13 Charr

The Transoshian Trapper

Charr is an excellent tank for your team if you enjoy an up-close-and-personal style of combat. His primary fire is his trusty Scatter Gun which increases its potency the closer you are to the enemy. His kit enables quick and easy kills by tethering your enemies with his Laser Tether.

He has high survivability with his Regen Booster and can quickly dispatch enemies with a barrage of melee attacks with his ultimate, Ferocious Hunt. The ultimate will leave you defenseless for a while, but the more enemies you down, the more time you’ll have in this enraged state.

12 J-3DI

The Jedi Droid

There are many droids in the Star Wars universe, but this one is a bit different. Carefully crafted and programmed by Sprocket, the Jedi Droid is a great way to single out targets and clean them up with ease. He comes equipped with a pseudo-Force pull with his Faux Pull to bring the fight to you.

J-3DI can also reflect blasters with his Deflecting Stance to mitigate damage, and once you’re able to get close to your long-ranged opponents, you can unleash Whirlwind, which will allow J-3DI to spin, relentlessly damaging all enemies around him. Even though he’s extremely cute, J-3DI is outclassed by the other Force user in the roster.

11 Zaina

The Rebel War Hero

Zaina’s kit is quite interesting. Like Brigette from Overwatch, she specializes in rallying her fellow teammates with her ultimate, Rallying Cry. As a support Hunter, she doesn’t offer much in damage, while her healing can be outstanding when used properly.

Besides her ultimate, Zaina can drop a Bacta Bomb on her feet, healing herself and all allies in the area. She also has a dodge roll ability that resets her otherwise slow cooldown on her mediocre blaster.

10 Imara Vex

The Unrelenting Bounty Hunter

Imara is the first character that the game awards you once you boot it up. She is a standard Bounty Hunter, equipped with a rapid-fire Blaster Rifle, making her extremely versatile in any situation the game places you in.

10 Darkest Moments In Star Wars Games

There are some pretty terrifying moments in the Star Wars games where you can act as a Sith, even without being one. Here are some of them.

Just like Diago, Imara can grapple onto nearby ledges, allowing her to reposition her attacks and even launch her powerful ultimate, Seeker Salvo. While she doesn’t offer much versatility in her kit, keeping enemies at low health will reveal them to you in your HUD.

9 Grozz

The Wookiee Juggernaut

There’s nothing scarier than a Wookiee charging towards you, wielding a pair of broken Droid arms he procured himself. Grozz is not the best tank in the game, but boy is he one of the funnest.

He may not have many tools that make other tanks excel in their job, but he makes for an excellent damage sponge if your opponents don’t know how to deal with his constant self-healing. Just make sure you watch out for the giant bouncing boulder he hurls at you.

8 Slingshot

The Droideka Speedster

One thing about Star Wars: Hunters is that it has amazing and creative character designs. One of those is Slingshot, an Ugnaught that pilots a decommissioned Droideka. Not only is his design quite memorable, but his speedy tank abilities are just as great on the battlefield.

Most tank characters tend to be sturdy and immobile, but Slingshot and roll through the enemies, giving your damage dealers enough room to pick their targets and clinch the victory for your team.

7 Sprocket

The Mon Calamari Prodigy

This little guy is the only support in the game whose main focus is not healing. Sprocket can heal with his remote droids, but they apply a passive health regeneration, so it can be seen as more of a buff than simply healing.

He can not only apply the droids to teammates, but also apply them to enemies, reveal them to your teammates, and shred their defense. Sprocket can enable some explosive plays by your damage dealers when used properly.

6 Utooni

The Jawa Scavengers

What’s better than one Jawa? Two, of course! Utooni is a character, or characters, made up of two Jawa standing on each others’ shoulders. Since you are playing with two different Jawa, they each carry a weapon to bring into battle, furthering your options when controlling the point.

They carry a Pulse Blaster to single fire far away opponents and an Arc Caster to electrocute nearby foes. Even though they don’t have much survivability, Utooni deploys a Sonic Granade that will damage enemies when they are defeated.

5 Diago

The Miraluka Sharpshooter

The Star Wars: Hunters equivalent to Overwatch’s Widowmaker is an incredible Hunter to choose if hitscan is your specialty. Diago can output a huge amount of damage if you can hit your shots, but his extreme focused playstyle makes him a sitting duck for most other Hunters to take advantage of.

Luckily, when Diago jumps, he has the ability to grapple onto any nearby ledge. Combined with his proximity mines and heightened senses, Diago can escape danger before it even comes near his field of vision.

4 Aran Tal

The Mandalorian Vanguard

Aran Tal offers fast-paced gameplay if you are looking to play a powerful Mandalorian warrior. His primary fire is a set of dual pistols that work excellently at long-range and just as well up close.

His abilities revolve around movement options. His Blastback allows you to zip in and out of enemy fire, while Air Assault can displace enemies from a control point. Sadly, he’s only available through purchasing the battle pass, but he’s a great investment if you’re planning on playing for a while.
