The Best Star Wars quotes immortalize critical story moments in our memories, often defining the movie or game they're in. Whether it's a tongue-in-cheek quip from Anakin or a philosophical lesson from Kreia, these are the best Star Wars quotes ever.
This list includes quotes from all Star Wars media – TV, films, and video games.
15 Rebellions Are Built On Hope – Jyn Erso, Rogue One
In this monumental scene of Rogue One, the Rebels are in hiding and their numbers are dwindled so low that the remaining leaders are arguing if their rebellion is even worth it anymore. They are asking if they can take the word of a criminal and a former Imperial.
But Jyn Erso has a seat at the table because her father trusts her and knows that she can do what it takes to take down the Empire and undo his wrongs. It’s these words that change the minds of the Rebel leaders.
14 And I Am All The Jedi – Rey, The Rise of Skywalker
Similar to when Luke told off Emperor Palpatine, Rey is faced with almost an identical proposal by Palpatine, but this time the stakes are higher. Rey is Palptaine’s granddaughter, and she feels the pull of the dark side in her DNA.
Palpatine knows Rey's background and preys on her, but what he doesn’t understand is that Rey’s heart is strong and pure, unable to be swayed by the allure of the dark side.
Whether you love this moment or it makes you wonder about what could have been, it lives on in our collective consciousness forever.
13 I Am A Jedi, Like My Father Before Me - Luke Skywalker, Return Of The Jedi
Luke Skywalker was the original Jedi that the world fell in love with, but he was the son of one of the greatest Jedi of all time, Anakin Skywalker. When Luke has the chance to kill his father, now Darth Vader, he is encouraged to do so by Emperor Palpatine.
But what Luke does next is what makes him such a great Jedi. He straightens up, turns to the Emperor, and throws down his lightsaber saying he will never give in to the dark side because he is a Jedi.
12 This Is The Way – All Mandalorians, The Mandalorian
While this line has become a meme in recent years, The Mandalorian creed “This is the Way” is not only fun to say, but it holds very significant weight in the Star Wars universe.
As we see in The Mandalorian series, the exiled Mandalorians are not at all dead or weak, just scattered and in need of a leader. But until the recent season, they banded together following what they call their religion and staying true to who they are. This is the way.
11 I Am No Jedi - Ahsoka Tano, Star Wars Rebels
Unlike Luke Skywalker who dove deeper and deeper into the Jedi way, Ahsoka Tano chose to walk away from the Jedi before she even became a Jedi Master. While still Anakin’s Padawan, Ahsoka could see that the politics, the war, her mentors and friends were all much more gray than the black and white picture they were all trying to paint.
She knew that the Jedi were arrogant, and the Sith were sinister. She chose to walk a path of balance with the Force with no ties to either side.
10 I Am One With The Force, And The Force Is With Me - Chirrut Îmwe, Rogue One
In Rogue One, Chirrut Îmwe, a force-sensitive rebel fighter, says this line multiple times throughout the film, but it is in his final moments on the planet of Scarif when he has to pull the lever for the satellite.

The pitch of stealing from the rich in a galaxy far, far away is giving me a new hope for the open-world Star Wars game.
PostsHe is pinned down with no chance of escape and no safe path to the panel with the lever, but he knows he has to reach it. So he calls on the Force to be with him, and it listens.
9 I Have Spoken – Kuiil, The Mandalorian
While Kuiil is a supporting character in The Mandalorian, he is also one who is key to Din Jarin’s survival in many cases. His direct communication and wise yet few words provide a gentle and favorable character in the Star Wars universe that many fans enjoy seeing again and again.
This line is part of his charm, that what he has to say is final.
This is the Star Wars version of That 70’s Show’s character Fez’s line, “I said good day!”
8 It Is A Far Greater Victory To Make Another See Through Your Eyes Than To Close Theirs Forever – Kreia, KOTOR 2
Kreia is the cryptic mentor you meet early on in your journey through Knights of the Old Republic 2. While she never fully reveals her face, you learn to trust the mysterious Kreia and follow her convoluted philosophical teachings that toe the line between light and dark.

"We're dedicated to making sure we exceed consumer expectations."
PostsKreia is particularly infatuated with the idea of betrayal and a life without The Force, so it comes as no surprise that her greatest teachings focus on rallying others to her cause. Kreia teaches that knowledge and being a charismatic leader are more powerful tools than any teachings of the Jedi or Sith.
7 Hello There – Obi-Wan Kenobi, A New Hope, Revenge Of The Sith, Obi-Wan
Obi-Wan Kenobi is in the conversation for best Jedi of all time as he is elegant, patient, and has unwavering goodness. His introductory line has inspired countless memes, but is also a heartwarming nod to the great Alec McGuiness who first delivered the line back when it all started in A New Hope.
Ewan McGregor brought back the iconic line in Revenge of the Sith during his battle with General Grievous and again in the series Obi-Wan. These are also the first words a Jedi ever spoke on screen.
6 This Is Where The Fun Begins - Anakin Skywalker, Revenge Of The Sith
As Obi-Wan tells it, he was the best star pilot in the galaxy, a cunning warrior, and a good friend. He was also the most powerful Jedi who had ever lived. It is hard to display this sheer power, but one unique way is through this trivial line.
Anakin delivers his classic line during a massive space battle, with high stakes, and not the greatest wingman in the ship next to him. Anakin is beyond giddy at the ensuing set of challenges before him, as if this is all just having another day in the Jedi playground.
