There are four starting Archetypes available: the Medic, the Hunter, the Challenger, and the Handler. Although you are allowed to choose only one Archetype, you will be able to unlock the others as you progress. Like the other starting Archetypes, the Handler can be unlocked early in the game.

How To Unlock The Handler Archetype In Remnant 2

To unlock the Handler, just like the other Archetypes, you must obtain the specific crafting material for it, which in this case, is the Old Whistle.

You can purchase this material from Mudtooth, who can be found sitting on his rocking chair next to Reggie in Ward 13 early in the game.

However, before you can buy this crafting material, you need to listen to some of Mudtooth's stories. Keep engaging in conversation with him multiple times until he opens up a shop.

There is no direct sign for when he does that, but it's recommended to check whenever he finishes telling a story.

Listening to all Mudtooh stories will grant you additional rewards, which are: Gunslinger's Ring, Gunslinger's Charm, and Worn Cylinder.

Once Mudtooth's shop is accessible, you can purchase the Old Whistle for 1,500 Scrap. After obtaining it, return to Wallace.

Now, you can use the Old Whistle, 1,000 scrap, and ten Lumenite Crystal to craft the Silver Whistle Engram.

Once you have successfully crafted the Engram, equip it, and you will unlock and gain access to the Handler Archetype.

Handler Archetype Overview

The Handler Archetype revolves around a dog companion; many of its abilities are centered on this loyal companion.

The dog can attract enemies' attention and even engage in combat. This allows you to take enemies down safely from a distance.

The standout feature of this Archetype is that the dog can revive both you and your teammates if any of you get knocked down using a Relic charge.

As a result, the Handler is a well-rounded Archetype and is widely regarded as the best choice for players who prefer to experience the game solo.
