Updated on May 2, 2024, by Mohamed El Ouardighi: With the release of Remnant 2's second DLC, The Forgotten Kingdom DLC, several additions were introduced, including new Traits. We have updated this guide to include the latest Traits available in this DLC.
Traits
There is a total of 32 Traits divided into three categories: Core Traits, Archetype Traits, and Unlockable Traits.
In order to benefit from a Trait, you need to level it up by using a Trait point. Traits points are obtained after defeating bosses or finding Tomes of Knowledge scattered throughout the game. As appealing as this might sound, there is a catch.
Remnant 2 allows you to allocate a total of 60 Traits Points only. This will make you think twice about which Traits to level up since you can't max out all of them.
Don't let this hold you from experimenting with other Traits since the game offers a Respec feature. This can be easily done by purchasing and using an Orb of Undoing from Wallace at Ward 13 which will cost you three Lumenite Crystals and 1,500 scrap.
Core Traits
Core Traits are the starting Traits that every character has, regardless of the Archetype they choose. These Traits cover the basic stats of the character and are accessible to everyone.

Archetype Traits
As the name suggests, Archetype Traits are linked to specific Archetypes. Once you meet Wallace to choose your starting archetype, you'll unlock one Archetype Trait according to your starting class. While the game starts with four main Archetypes, more can be unlocked by finding certain items and bringing them back to Wallace.
Fortunately, Remnant 2 provides seven additional Archetypes that you can unlock and try out. This gives you the opportunity to experiment with different playstyles and abilities.
