Ready or Not is an intense and unforgiving tactical FPS where you play as a SWAT commander leading your team through dangerous situations. The game heavily focuses on realism and requires communication and coordination with teammates for successful missions. While Ready or Not is best played with friends, some players would rather go at it alone.

For those willing to take on the challenge, Ready or Not offers a single-player mode as well. In this guide, you’ll learn how to play Ready or Not solo, along with some tips to maximize your lone wolf success.

How To Play Ready Or Not Solo

Before you start a mission in Ready Or Not, simply select the Single-player mode option in the Main Menu to load up solo. Once the mission begins, you’ll see AI-controlled bots as part of your five-member squad. You can give direct commands to these AI bots and lead them through the mission.

At the time of writing, there's no way to fully disable AI teammates in Ready or Not. However, if you want to be the true lone wolf, you can command your AI teammates to “Hold Position” near the spawn point. This keeps them out of the action and lets you tackle the mission all by yourself.

Tips To Play Solo

Ready Or Not’s Update 1.0 introduced an all-new Commander Mode, which is an amazing way to practice your single-player skills. It allows you to manage a roster of officers as a SWAT team commander through a campaign-style progression.

The Commander Mode featurespermadeath, where officers who die during missions are gone for good, raising the stakes and forcing you to value their survival. As such, you learn to adapt and overcome challenges when key officers are lost or injured.

If you aren’t ready to take on the burdens that come with being a Commander, it is recommended to play with the AI bots. AI teammates can provide backup and support and even take some of the pressure off in intense situations.
