Rayman Legends Retold Is Bringing Back The Land Of The Livid Dead With "More Difficult" Levels
Rayman Legends Retold brand producer Loic Gounon has confirmed that the remake is adding the Land of the Livid Dead as a brand-new world, one that has "more difficult" levels than the base game.
Back when it was rumoured that Rayman Legends was going to be getting a remake, I think it's fair to say that most Rayman fans were very confused and disappointed that the most recent game was being revisited. Now that Rayman Legends Retold has been revealed, though, it's looking like it'll be much more than a simple remake.
Legends Retold not only completely revamps the art style (which arguably didn't need it, even if the new look is great), adds a proper story with cutscenes, and, most exciting of all, has some brand new levels. We've not heard all that much about what to expect from the brand-new content, but we just got some details that'll make Origins fans very happy.
The Best Level In Rayman Origins Is Being Turned Into A World In Legends Retold
It'll Also Be "More Difficult" Than The Base Game, Which Is Fitting
Rayman Legends Retold was recently showcased during the Future Games Show, with brand producer Loic Gounon sharing some interesting details about the remake. Perhaps the highlight of it all, though, is confirmation that the Land of the Livid Dead is being added as a brand-new world in Legends Retold, with more concrete details about its inclusion shared.

Previews for Legends Retold also confirmed that a new power-up will be introduced in the world, so it's clearly been given a lot of focus.
It looks like we get a few glimpses at the Land of the Livid Dead in the reveal trailer for Rayman Legends Retold, as it appears to be the domain for the game's mysterious new villain.
Legends Retold adding Land of the Livid Dead as a new world is especially exciting considering how it was treated in the base game. For those who don't remember, the Livid Dead was the final, brutally challenging level in Origins, but it only showed up in Legends as a background for one music stage and a couple of rescue missions. There's truly not a better choice for a proper ending for Retold.
