While playing Rusty Rabbit, you'll spend most of your time digging deeper into the dungeons of Smokestack Mountain and reaching many unique areas. However, the game's difficulty will also get multiplied as you progress, and your old weapons and drills might not be good enough.

If you want to compete with the scaling enemy HP and consequent bosses, you'll have to craft yourself some high-tier weapons and additional parts. However, as you get to high-tier items, you'll find it difficult to find the resources to craft them as well.

How Crafting Works In Rusty Rabbit

As you progress the story of Rusty Rabbit, you'll eventually reach a point where you save Wrex after going past a big gap, which leads to you getting a blueprint for a better drill. When this happens, the game takes you back to the surface and you get introduced to the crafting system in Stamp's house.

You can craft both weapons and additional parts here, but there's a certain RNG factor to the weapons. Whenever you craft one, you can randomly get a skill on it, which can either give them more power or some other weapon-specific skill like cooldown reduction for drills.

You can unlock an additional skill on your weapons by heading over to Jed's store and spending a Plasma Core.

You can also find various upgrades in your Skill Tree to increase the number of skills you get each time you craft a certain type of weapon. You can get multiple rolls of the same skill, which gives you a chance to create the deadliest weapon by getting three power rolls.

Of course, each time you craft a weapon, you'll have to use a bunch of resources. You can get some of these resources back while dismantling the useless items, but you'll have to farm most of them from a specific place.

How To Get The Junk Required To Craft

If you want to get the best weapons in Rusty Rabbit, you'll find yourself crafting quite a few, especially during the endgame where you'd want to get the multiple rolls of the same skill. However, the junk you require to craft these weapons can be difficult to get your hands on, especially for high-tier equipment with purple or golden rarity.

When you head over to Smokestack Mountain and browse each area, you can see all the items you can get in these on the bottom-right side. However, these aren't all the items you can get since some of them can be found in hidden silver or golden boxes that aren't mentioned on the main screen.

These special boxes are usually hidden behind a couple of high-tier blocks that you need specific weapons for.

However, the main method to farm for junk in the game is the Random Dungeon, which you unlock quite early. You can find this to the right of Stamp's House, and it consists of a certain number of floors. Regardless of the floor you enter, the map gets randomized out of all the maps you have unlocked so far.

You can get a checkpoint after every five floors, and the loot you get from a specific map in Random Dungeons can change based on the floor you're on. For example, you can get Plasma Torch, Plasma Condenser, Beam Capacitor, and Beam Accelerator only at higher-level floors on specific maps.

You can check every loot item you can get on each map for a certain floor by pressing Y/Triangle on the controller or R on the keyboard in the Random Dungeons menu.

If you're looking for a specific item, you can start a run on a certain floor where that item is available and leave it if you don't get the right map. You can keep redoing this until you get the map where you can farm the item and then repeat until you have enough. However, if you're looking for multiple items, it's best to go through the floors normally and make progress.

Purple items like Mini Reactor and Mithril can also be found easily in the Rust Beast Index maps. These maps have a bunch of golden containers that usually drop Mini Reactor, while you can get Mithril by beating some of these in a certain amount of time.
