We've got a complete walkthrough of the Whispering Swamp Vault and how to find all Vault Cores for Runescape: Dragonwilds.

Temple Woods features a Dragonkin Vault that contains three Vault Cores, one of the most useful items in-game, and much more loot. However, the vault is like a maze and has many tough enemies, especially the last guardian. Here, we will guide you on how to find all of the loot in the vault and defeat the enemies.

Runescape: Dragonwilds is currently in early access, so the guide's content may be outdated in the future.

How To Complete The Temple Woods Vault

You can find the Temple Woods Vault by following the road to the east. The vault will be at the end of the road.

Before entering the vault, make sure your exhaustion, hunger, and thirst are 100 percent. Vaults usually take a long time to explore, so having less stamina due to exhaustion can be really annoying.

First Vault Core Location

After entering the vault, go up the stairs on your left and defeat the guardian in front of you. It will be a Sentinel, so fighting him at close range would be better. After defeating him, enter the room on your left; there will be two giant rats awaiting you, so defeat them and loot the chest next to the stairs.

When you are done with that, go back to the hallway and take a left. Inside the room, there will be three guardians you have to defeat. Use your ranged weapon to take out at least two from a distance, and then fight the last one at close range.

After defeating all of them, loot the chest and enter the room at the northeast corner. Pass the trap by dodging or timing your sprint to avoid it. Then, use the stairs to enter the room. There will be three more guardians.

Use your long-range weapon to at least kill one of the three guardians and lure the other two into the traps you just crossed. After defeating them, loot the chest behind the pillar and grab the Vault Core.

If you die at a certain point in a vault, then there is no need to worry. All of your stuff will be available outside the vault, and all of the enemies you defeated won't respawn. So, if you want to recover from exhaustion in between, you can die and then retrieve your belongings pretty easily.

Second Vault Core Location

Close

After you have grabbed the first Vault Core, enter the hallway on your right and pass the traps. In the next room, you will notice two doors, with the upper one leading to the second Vault Core and the lower one to a chest.

First, enter the lower one, pass the spike trap, and loot the chest. Then use your Windstep spell to jump higher and enter the door to get the second Vault Core. After that, loot the chest, activate the lever, and go out.

Third Vault Core Location

You may have noticed a locked room on your right when you entered the vault. You have to unlock that door to get the last main item. After you have used the lever, go straight and then use another lever. This will also open the locked door, so head that way.

Now, the biggest challenge of the vault is waiting for you, so make sure you are prepared. The Vault Overlord has a lot of health, but his moveset isn't that complicated. He will throw a lot of punches at you, so make sure you parry and then attack him.

Of course, he won't be attacking you all the time, leaving windows where you can attack him easily. Make sure not to get hit by him, as he can take a lot of your health in one hit.

The parry timing in this is a little weird. Make sure to parry as soon as you see the enemy's attack coming toward you. If you parry as soon as he is about to hit you, your character won't parry, and you are likely to get hit by his attack.

His attacks are similar to the Guardian Hulk, so make sure to dodge when he does a slam attack. This will give you a big window to damage him. The Overlord's health pool is massive, so be patient and defeat him.

If you are having difficulty fighting the vault's boss, then it might be better to play with a friend. It helps a lot if a friend keeps the boss busy at close range while you can use spells to defeat him from a long range.

If you are good at parrying, of course, then you should fight him with melee instead.

Once you have defeated him, loot the chest and then take the final Vault Core. After that, you can exit the vault.
