The world of Poppy Playtime is filled with monsters created by the Bigger Bodies initiative. As an ex-employee, you venture into the now-abandoned Playtime Co. factory after receiving a mysterious package in the mail. From there, it’s a chase that has you traveling deeper into the facility, uncovering deadly experiments, and encountering both murderous and benign entities within.

10 Kissy Missy
The Best Team Player
Kissy Missy is one of the few non-hostile toys in Poppy Playtime. While initially appearing to be Huggy Wuggy, emerging from the shadows reveals her to be Huggy’s opposite. She is helpful, friendly, and one of Poppy’s best allies in the game.
This gentle nature makes her one of the few characters you feel safe around. It is also easy to feel sorry for her when things go wrong. Ultimately, she gives up everything to get you to safety even when Poppy herself gets cold feet and abandons her.
9 Dog Day
Heroic Till The End
Dog Day may not last long before he is finished off, but he represents the internal fight between those in favor of the Prototype’s plan and those against. The leader of the Smiling Critters, he did his best at fighting back, but in the end, he wound up tortured and partially dismembered.

One Scary Mascot
Huggy Wuggy may not have too much going on in terms of character, but being the face of Poppy Playtime allows this toy to snag a top spot. Huggy Wuggy has one of the scariest chase sequences in the series and one of the more memorable designs.
This lanky-armed creature is built up heavily throughout the first chapter of the game, with small appearances throughout the game. It eventually catches you by surprise. This is one of the best monsters in the game.

One of the best characters in the game is the Ex-Employee. This is the character you play as. While not much is known about them, they're still willing to take charge and investigate deeper into the mystery behind Playtime Co.

6 Poppy
Consumed By Revenge
Poppy is one of the most important characters in the game. After all, her name is slapped on it. Poppy may be a living toy, but unlike many of the others, she isn’t hostile. At least not in the traditional sense. Instead, she asks the player to assist her in escaping the facility.
Deep down, Poppy is fueled by revenge as she tries to get back at the Prototype for keeping her locked away for years and for hurting her friends. However, she is also shown to be quite selfish as her need for revenge clouds her decisions. She even abandoned the Ex-Employee and Kissy Missy when the going gets tough.
5 The Prototype
A Menacing Villain
The Prototype is one of the most sinister villains in Poppy Playtime. Always lurking in the shadows, it managed to destroy almost every human being inside the facility during the Hour of Joy. It even starts a cult that keeps the other toys within his clutches.

4 Doey Doughman
Loses Everything Thanks To Poppy
Doey Doughman adds a bit of silliness to the Poppy Playtime experience. Made entirely out of dough, this bigger body is willing to help you at every turn. He even has friends that he cares about, showing a much more benevolent side to the toys within the factory.
However, after Poppy’s plans go wrong, he becomes furious and falls into despair, having lost all of his friends in the destruction. This makes him one of the few bosses you feel bad for when you finally defeat him.
3 Catnap
The Scariest Bigger Body
Catnap is one of the few bigger bodies where the analog horror aspects come into play nicely. There’s nothing like a VHS tape of a children’s show that goes in a more terrifying direction. In-game, Catnap also has an interesting backstory as a corrupted Smiling Critter.

2 Harley Sawyer
A Sadistic Doctor
Poppy Playtime has plenty of sadistic toys, animatronics, and other creatures that want to smother you to death. It’s not often that you encounter another human. Of course, when you do, he is an evil doctor with his brain in a jar.
Harley Sawyer is one of the few survivors of the Hour of Joy. In his pursuit of his scientific research, he allies with The Prototype to keep his experiments going. Apathetic to those around him, Harley Sawyer uses other creatures, such as Yarnaby, for his own purposes. Though he shows no remorse when they are killed.
1 Mommy Long Legs
Great From Start To Finish
Despite not being one of the scarier toys you’ll encounter, Mommy Long Legs is by far one of the most developed. She is one of the few characters who feels like she has a story arc. When you find her, she has been dwelling in the factory alone for years.
When you arrive, she finds someone she can toy around with. She steals Poppy away and forces you to go through various minigames such as Simon says and whack-a-mole. Her defeat is not only terrifying, but one of the more satisfying ones, since she acts as a proper antagonist throughout her whole chapter.
