Summary
- UK store Game was charging absurdly high postage charges for Prismatic Evolutions tins, almost tripling the prices.
- They reduced the postage charge from £20 to £4.99 after public backlash.
- The changes came after the prices were made public by employees and several outlets.
Scalping and, in some cases, even looting has been a big issue for stores that sell Pokemon TCG packs. People have been hoarding up on packs, making them unavailable at many retailers and selling them at inflated prices. However, as we reported last week, UK retailer Game was also scalping in its own way.

PostsIn case of the highly coveted Prismatic Evolutions tins, UK's largest retail game store was charging absurdly high £20 postage costs on them, almost tripling the overall price. Even employees at outlets found this odd, but were told that it was a management decision. However, it seems that the management has changed its tune after the situation was made public.
Game Reduces Postage Charge On Prismatic Evolutions Tins
While the tins themselves only cost about £10.99, the total cost with postage was coming up to £30.98 or $38.29. However, as spotted by Eurogamer, it now seems Game has walked back this controversial costing, applying the £4.99 for postage charge. This is probably a result of the story going public.

Posts 1When asked about the pricing during the initial report, a Game issued this response to us saying, "We can confirm that the delivery charge is accurate. Additionally, we have provided internal feedback concerning the description used." We're not quite sure what that meant, but it seems the message reached the concerned people, after which the changes were made.
The issue was brought to light by Game's own employees, who probably had to face the brunt of customer concerns regarding the inflated price. It seems the decision makers knew that the Prismatic Evolutions tins would be in great demand and decided to act on it with lofty delivery prices that they thought no one would notice.
Speaking of scalping and Pokemon, it seems people are selling Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket's virtual cards to the highest bidder on eBay. Despite the developers saying this is in gross violation of the terms of use, players are making money on these virtual cards.
