The Pokemon TCG has been on full throttle for the last few years, releasing incredible sets that are met with immense demand. The card design seems to be finally catching up to the hype surrounding the game, and the game itself is evolving.

Pokemon TCG: The 10 Most Valuable Cards In Darkness Ablaze

These are the best cards to collect from Darkness Ablaze.

Between Pokemon TCG Pocket and Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, the excitement over the franchise is at an all-time high. Silver Tempest is also one of the best Sword & Shield sets, featuring some of the generation's most amazing cards. Here are the current most valuable ones you can find in Silver Tempest.

Updated on April 15, 2025, by Andrew Scariati: The best Silver Tempest chase cards continue to rise in value, with two new entries joining the top spots. While the best Silver Tempest cards at the top of the list retain their positions, two underrated Trainer Gallery cards are threatening to rise into the top five.

The list order is based on the market prices from TCGPlayer.com, which are subject to change.

12 Blissey V (Trainer Gallery) – $10.75

Pink Perfection

Blissey makes waves among the best Silver Tempest chase cards, roaring into the double digits after sitting below the five-dollar mark for most of her TCG career. However, one look at this wonderful Trainer Gallery artwork will clarify exactly why this card continues to increase in value.

Even Blissey's pre-evolved form, Chansey, has seen love among Twilight Masquerade's best cards.

While beautiful Blissey cards are few and far between, this card's serene art perfectly captures Blissey's energy, and the addition of a nurse completes this scene.

11 Serena (Full Art) – $13.81

The Lone Trainer Of The Bunch

Full Art Supporters are some of the most expensive you can find in the Pokemon TCG, like those found in Rebel Clash. Serena is also a pretty useful card in the format, acting as either a desperate draw Supporter or extra copies of Boss's Orders if necessary.

While many of Silver Tempest's best cards are Pokemon, Serena's popularity sets her above most of her competition.

The card looks amazing with full, bright colors, depicting an iconic character in a cute pose. It's really useful in terms of game mechanics, too. The only thing keeping this card from being much more expensive is how long it's been out, meaning it's a prime investment target.

10 Alolan Vulpix VSTAR (Secret Rare) – $13.99

A Vibrant Vulpix Makeover

Alolan Vulpix is a rare card, as it's a non-fully-evolved Pokemon with a VSTAR card to its name. That's likely due to how incredibly adorable and popular the little fox is, and we're not complaining.

The card itself is not bad at all, either. Silvery Snow Star is a great equalizing move against many of the meta decks, and Snow Mirage can be easily charged up and used as both an offensive and a great defensive tool all the same.

9 Lugia VSTAR (Secret Rare) – $14.61

The First Appearance Of A Pokemon Icon

Speaking of rare versions of Lugia VSTAR, this gold Secret Rare is still holding strong. The art style is also a bit of a middle ground, with gold foiling making it pop while maintaining Lugia's iconic white and blue colors.

This card has lost significant value, causing it to tumble down the list from its former $22 perch.

Gold Secret Rares have been some of the more sought-after cards in recent years, and that doesn't change with Silver Tempest. When a card as good as Lugia VSTAR looks so good, it immediately jumps in price.

8 Regidrago V (Alternate Full Art) – $16.55

The Top Regi

Regidrago V is more what you'd generally expect from a high-value card. Its alternate Full Art is stunning, depicting Regidrago resting next to some ruins with a Lugia seen far away in the sky. The card looks lovely, and legendary Pokemon always tend to be valued a bit higher than regular Pokemon.

While Regidrago V alone is not good by any means, its bigger form in Regidrago VSTAR is not bad at all in terms of usefulness. It's not the best deck in the Pokemon TCG, but it can work with the right support. Thus, Regidrago is both useful and gorgeous.

7 Serperior V (Trainer Gallery) – $16.92

A Serene Green Scene

Serperior soars into relevance among the most valuable Silver Tempest chase cards, leaving the single-digits behind in favor of an ever-increasing valuation. Rosa and Serperior are the stars of this fantastic scene, which is impressive considering the gorgeous colors in the background.

Pokemon TCG: The 6 Most Valuable Jumbo Cards

These large cards come with massive prices.

This card flew under the radar for too long, but given Rosa's immense popularity, it seems destined to continue rising the charts and might become one of the most valuable Silver Tempest chase cards sooner rather than later.

6 Unown V (Alternate Full Art) – $20.79

Spelling Out Success

Unown V almost feels like a joke or custom card at first glance. Its Shady Stamp attack is worthless, whereas Victory Symbol simply wins you the game if you have one prize card remaining.

While it has lost a fair portion of its value, Unown V still retains enough demand to cling to the top four spots.

The fantastic art is what makes Unown V so valuable, depicting several Unown flying around in what appears to be the Ruins Of Alph. The novelty of an Alternate Full Art card with a game-winning move on such a conventionally weak Pokemon is also quite alluring.

5 Blaziken V (Trainer Gallery) – $21.59

A Triumphant Trainer Gallery

Much like the beautiful (and valuable) Trainer Gallery cards in Brilliant Stars, Silver Tempest boasts some wonderful depictions of cute moments between Pokemon and trainer. This Blaziken V is the first of two appearances of the Fire-type duo, May and Blaziken, on this list.

Trainer Gallery cards continue to increase in value in response to a major surge in the Pokemon market, but it's hard to say where their prices will settle. For now, these slice-of-life moments offer unique artwork that tells a vibrant, and often adorable story.

Look out for the second half of this scene still to come.

4 Blaziken VMAX (Trainer Gallery) – $23.80

Blazing Up The Charts

The Blaziken VMAX features a continuation of the scene that began with Blaziken V, this time with May clinging onto her VMAX-ed Blaziken for dear life. The look on May's face is hysterical, as this card's artwork boasts one of the silliest Trainer Gallery moments to date.

Cynthia is one of the most beloved trainers in Pokemon.

Posts

VMAX Pokemon are enormous, and it's typical to see a massive Pokemon alongside a miniature trainer, but rarely do we see such whimsical artwork. Appearances aside, this card has catapulted from about eight dollars to where it is now, exhibiting some of the most astronomical growth in Silver Tempest.

3 Lugia VSTAR (Secret Rare) – $29.24

Lugia's Reign Rolls On

As with any card, rarer versions tend to be valued more, as this Rainbow Secret Rare commands a few more dollars than the Gold Secret Rare version.

While both Secret Rares are beautiful, there's another Lugia card on this list that tops them both.

This Rainbow Secret Rare card looks stunning. We see Lugia in a very dynamic pose, and the rainbow foiling has been mastered over the last few sets by the Pokemon Company. While losing colors may be a problem for some, this card is noticeably more valuable than the base Lugia VSTAR.
