The Most Expensive Holon Phantoms Pokemon TCG Cards

The Pokemon TCG is home to several varieties of shiny Pokemon, including some scintillating selections in Holon Phantoms. As one of the most expensive expansions from the EX-era, Holon Phantoms stands out from the crowd due largely to its gorgeous Gold Star Pokemon, but there are also some EX Pokemon appearances you can't miss.

PostsIn addition to the desirable subsets, the Pokemon chosen as the highlights of this set include some of the most popular from the original 151. Pikachu, Mewtwo, and Mew headline some of the best cards in Holon Phantoms, leading the way with some of their best cards of all time.
Cards are ordered according to their TCGPlayer Market Price, which you might pay on average for a copy of the cards below.
Given the age and rarity of these cards, only those with an established market price on TCGplayer are included.
However, sale prices differ depending on the card's condition, so this market price is just a rough idea of the card's value.
10 Latias (Delta Species) – $30.07
A Serene Start
Latias starts the proceedings with a serene scene of this Legendary Pokemon soaring through the sky. While this card doesn't reach heights that put it at the top of the charts for Latias' best cards, it's a gorgeous depiction of the Eon Pokemon with a perfect color-match background.
The Delta Species subset of cards is separate from the set of the same name.
This card sells for only about five dollars in heavily played (HP) condition, jumping to $8.41 in a moderately played (MP) state. You can expect to pay closer to $16 for lightly played (LP) copies of this Latias, while the near-mint (NM) leads the way with a sale at $30.06.
9 Crawdaunt Ex (Ultra Rare) – $38.02
A Curious Inclusion
Rarely will you ever see Crawdaunt sitting among the most valuable cards in any set, but anything is possible when it comes to highly sought-after sets like Holon Phantoms.
While popularity isn't the sole factor determining a card's value, it plays a large part and certainly isn't helping Crawdaunt's value.
This card is even easier to find than Latias, boasting a range of sales across each condition, allowing you to hunt for your ideal version. MP cards tend to fetch around $13, while LP jumps into the $20 range, sometimes hitting heights of $23. NM carries a stiff premium, soaring into the $40 range.
8 Mightyena Ex (Ultra Rare) – $40.99
Muted But Mighty
Mightyena, like Crawdaunt, is another Pokemon that rarely gets love in the Pokemon TCG, though this card is easily one of its best offerings. This art is somewhat difficult to appreciate unless you can hold the card in person, but Mightyena's pose helps to capture its essence.
Unfortunately, there's only a single recent NM sale at $45 on TCGplayer to evaluate the top end of the range, but LP cards offer a significant discount, selling between $25 and $27. If you just want to own this card cheaply, damaged copies won't exceed seven dollars.
7 Gyarados (Delta Species) – $49.82
The First Showing
This Gyarados is the first to appear in Holon Phantoms with one of the most sinister depictions of this water serpent we've ever seen. Aside from its intimidating appearance, this Gyarados boasts solid value in both the holo and reverse holo versions.

PostsThe reverse holo reaches heights of $60 in LP condition, as there aren't any recent NM sales. On the flip side, the regular holo maxes out around $44 in LP condition, with NM only reaching about $53, leaving the reverse holo as the clear victor here.
6 Rayquaza (Delta Species) – $56.70
A Swirling Ascent
Rayquaza appears frequently among the best sets from the EX era, though this is one of the Pokemon's more affordable versions, especially compared with the Rayquaza Star. Focusing on this Rayquaza, it's easy to see why this swirling depiction of the Dragon Legendary Pokemon makes an impression.
Much like Gyarados, Rayquaza also sees its reverse holo version oust the holo. NM reverse holo copies shoot up to almost $90, with LP offering a slight discount at $74, while MP drops below the $50 plateau. Alternatively, the holo only reaches about $56 in NM condition.
5 Mew (Holo Rare) – $73.73
Going Back To Back
Mew makes a noticeable jump to eclipse Rayquaza's price tag, though it's easy to see why this iconic Mew art commands so much more than the prior entry.
Mew's mischievous, yet cautious personality is perfectly captured in this simple scene.
You can find data for this card in any condition, starting at the bottom with $25 for a damaged copy, while HP copies are closer to $35. If you're hunting for a rare NM, then be prepared to pay in the $90 range for a clean copy.
4 Mew Ex (Ultra Rare) – $135.73
A Mesmerizing Mew
Mew follows up its first foray in Holon Phantoms with an even more impressive entry, as this superb swirling art earns a spot among the most valuable Mew cards. This card almost doubles the value of the prior Mew, commanding a massive $60 lead over the Holo version.

PostsThis card is a bit harder to find in perfect condition, as you'll frequently find LP copies, which have sold consistently within a few dollars of the $90 price tag. An NM sale surged to $139.97, leaving a huge gap between the very best and the runners-up.
3 Mewtwo Star (Ultra Rare) – $250.32
A Grand Entrance
Mewtwo Star stakes its claim in Holon Phantoms with a fantastic pedigree backing it, as this is also one of Mewtwo's most valuable cards of all time. Though Mewtwo falls short of the top two, it commands a respectable third-place finish as this early depiction of a shiny Mewtwo is hard to find.
Two damaged copies sold in 2024, at $250.98 and $279.99, but an HP copy of this card blew those sales out of the water to the tune of $549.97, an incredible doubling of the average damaged sale. Mewtwo is worth well over $250 in good condition, so this market price is likely to increase when more cards sell.
2 Pikachu Star (Ultra Rare) – $304.15
A Triumphant Runner-Up
Pikachu keeps its head held high despite a somewhat disappointing second-place finish, as this Pokemon is used to finishing first on the back of some of its most valuable cards. Despite settling for second, Pikachu's triumphant pose still makes it a contender for the crown.
Despite the low market price, this Pikachu boasts raw sales as high as $2,800 on TCGplayer, with an NM copy fueling that sky-high sale. An MP copy sold for $225, bringing the market price down, as damaged sales at $308 and $249.99 help to keep the single high sale from raising the market price.
1 Gyarados Star (Delta Species) – $699.99
The Original Shiny Pokemon
Gyarados was the first shiny ever introduced in the Pokemon games, as Lance's shiny Gyarados excursion at the Lake of Rage debuted the sparkling color palettes as a core feature. This stunning red Gyarados honors the original shiny's debut in Pokemon Gold and Silver.
It's no easy feat to be the most valuable Gyarados card of all time, but this Gyarados claimed the top spot among them, though TCGplayer has since reduced the market price to its current value.
While an LP sale only registered $500, there was also an MP sale at $598, though there are no recent NM sales to reference for this card. Without an NM to set the top end of the range, the $699.99 market price on TCGplayer remains a rough estimate of this card's value.
