The famous bird Pokemon from generation seven's Sun and Moon, Oricorio, has returned in the new Pokemon Scarlet & Violet. This dancing bird does not evolve but rather comes in four different forms based on the style of dance they practice.

Each style of Oricorio does not just dance differently, they also have different typings and colouration with each style, making them easy to distinguish between each other. Although all forms of Oricorio could be located on each of the four islands in the Alola region, things work a little bit differently now that they have migrated to Scarlet & Violet's Paldea region.

Where To Catch Oricorio

Unlike in Sun and Moon, only two of the four forms of Oricorio can be found in the wild. While most bird Pokemon can be found flying, you won't find them in the air. Instead, Oricorio can be found on the ground near towns and flowers.

The Baile Style (Fire/Flying) Oricorio can be found in East Province (Area One) south of Artazon. Their bright red colour should help them stick out from the grass surrounding the area, allowing you to find them more easily.

The Pom-Pom Style (Electric/Flying) Oricorio can be found in South Province (Area One) between Poco Path Lighthouse and Mesagoza. They’re most commonly found near flowers which can make them difficult to find due to their yellow colouring.

Changing Styles

Since only two styles of Oricorio appear in the wild, you’ll need to change styles by giving your Oricorio Nectars to acquire the last two, Pa'uand Sensu Style. Nectars are sold from all Delibird Presents shops for ₽300each after completing at least three of the eight gyms. Simply expose your Oricorio to the Nectar of your choice, and it will change styles. Each Nectar has a corresponding style that Oricorio will change to when it is used on them:

  • Red Nectar = Baile Style (Fire/Flying)
  • Yellow Nectar = Pom-Pom(Electric/Flying)
  • Pink Nectar = Pa'u Style (Psychic/Flying)
  • Purple Nectar = Sensu Style (Ghost/Flying)

If you accidentally give your Oricorio the wrong nectar or simply wish to switch back don’t worry! You can give Oricorio as many Nectars as you want, letting you change its style infinitely.
