Pokemon Scarlet & Violet: The Hidden Treasure Of Area Zero Pre-Order Guide

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, the latest games in the main series, had an interesting start to life when they launched in 2022. The world angrily proclaimed the games felt unfinished, encountering bugs and problems on their journeys around Paledea. However, after selling ten million copies in its first three days, it's likely Game Freak and The Pokemon Company couldn't hear those complaints over the sound of cash registers ringing around the world.
Since a lot of Pokemon fans likely bought Scarlet & Violet before hearing the complaints, the true test of the game may well be how many come back to buy and play the DLC. At $35, The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero is almost as much as a whole new game. Actually quite a lot more than some games meaning players are going to expect a lot of content. Game Freak might want to consider a few more fixes between now and the DLC's arrival too.

There's not long left to do that though as the first part of the two-part expansion arrives exclusively on Nintendo Switch on September 13, 2023. The Teal Mask will be the first DLC that builds on Scarlet & Violet's journey, bringing additional story content and more Pokemon to the table. If you did enjoy your Paldean journey and you're itching for more, you can pre-order the DLC, which includes both parts, right now.
Pokemon Scarlet & Violet The Hidden Treasure Of Area Zero
Pokemon Scarlet & Violet is getting a two-part DLC called The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero. Part one is called The Teal Mask and will launch in September 2023, and that will be followed by The Indigo Disk before the end of the year.
Powered by Expand CollapseActually, it's technically a little bit more than a pre-order. Described as a "direct download" on the Nintendo eShop, that presumably means the DLC will be ready and raring to go as soon as the clock hits midnight local time on September 13. The same will likely apply to The Indigo Disk, although part two of the DLC is yet to be given a release date. We do know it will be adding every single starter Pokemon from the series' past to the Paldean Pokedex though, all of which will be available to find and catch in the wild.
Honestly, that alone is probably enough to get me back into Scarlet & Violet when the first part of the DLC drops next month. I'm easy to please and seem to be one of the few who didn't hate the state of the games on release day. If you'll be joining me back in Paldea, make sure you pick up the correct version of the DLC above depending on which game, Scarlet or Violet, you own.
