PostsThe Taken Treasures Event will span over the course of five days, active from Saturday, January 27, 2024, at 12am local time to Thursday, February, 1, 2024, at 11:59pm local time. Read on for all the information you need to know about this brand-new Pokemon Go event and all it has to offer!
Pokemon Go Debuts
With this event, Varoom and its evolution Revavroom will be making their Pokemon Go debuts! During this event, and after it has concluded, Varoom will be added to the pool of Pokemon that can be hatched from 12 km Eggs.
With this being the only current method to obtain this new Pokemon, make sure to stock up on 12 km Eggs starting with this event!
It will require 50 Varoom Candy to evolve Varoom into Revavroom, acquired by hatching, catching, or transferring either of these two Pokemon.
Event Bonuses
There will be two different bonuses active during this event, both pertaining to Team Go Rocket and Shadow Pokemon. First, and most notably, during this event, you will be able to use Charged TMs and Elite Charged TMs to make Shadow Pokemon forget the Charged Attack Frustration.
This is an extremely valuable bonus because you are unable to do this outside of special events like this one. Make sure to take advantage of this rare opportunity and rid your Shadow Pokemon of the move Frustration, as this move typically holds back these Pokemon when it comes to their strength.
For the second bonus, you can expect to see an increase in the Team Go Rocket members you encounter at both PokeStops and in Team Go Rocket balloons. This will greatly increase the Mysterious Components and Shadow Pokemon that you acquire during this event.
