Pokemon Debuts

Larvesta And Volcarona

With this event will come the Pokemon Go debuts of two different Pokemon.

First, you will be able to encounter and catch Larvesta, a Fire and Bug dual-type Pokemon, for the first time in Pokemon Go. Additionally, you'll be able to evolve this Pokemon into its only evolution, Volcarona, also making its Pokemon Go debut.

It will require a total of 400 Larvesta Candy to evolve Larvesta into Volcarona.

Make sure you take advantage of this Pokemon being featured during this event, giving you the opportunity to accumulate this large amount of Larvesta Candy.

During the Instinctive Hero Event, you will be able to obtain Larvesta by obtaining and hatching either 2 km, 5 km, or 10 km Eggs. Make sure to visit and spin PokeStop Photo Discs to acquire these different Eggs, giving you the opportunity to obtain as many Larvesta as possible.

Shiny Mantyke

The Instinctive Hero Event will also mark the Pokemon Go debut of Shiny Mantyke! This new Pokemon Go Shiny can only be acquired by obtaining and hatching 7 km Eggs during this event window.

For the best method of receiving 7 km Eggs, it's recommended that you open Gifts sent to you by other players on your Friends List.
