Featured Pokemon: Hisuian Typhlosion
Hisuian Typhlosion will be the featured Pokemon for this Raid Day. This means that you can expect to find this new Pokemon Go addition in the vast majority of Raids in your area during the three hours of this event.
It is unclear as to when Hisuian Typhlosion will be available again in Pokemon Go following this event, so make sure you take advantage of this chance to catch several of them.
Upon completing this Raid, you will be rewarded with an encounter with Hisuian Typhlosion, giving you the opportunity to catch and acquire this Pokemon Go debut. Like with other Raid Days, the likelihood of this Pokemon being Shiny in these encounters will be greatly increased during the Raid Day event.
Raid Day Bonuses
The typical Raid Day bonuses will be active during this event, allowing you to further benefit and take advantage of this limited-time Raid Day. Each of these two Raid-focused bonuses are listed for you below.
- The Remote Raid Pass use limit will be increased to 20 (from Saturday, January 13, 2024, at 4pm PST to Sunday, January 14, 2024, at 7pm PST).
- Visiting and spinning Pokemon Gym Photo Discs will provide you with five additional free Raid Passes.

You will have the opportunity to purchase a special Event Ticket for the Hisuian Typhlosion Raid Day, costing $5.00 USD in the Pokemon Go in-game shop.
By purchasing this ticket, you will unlock additional event bonuses, active from 2pm to 10pm local time on Sunday, January 14, 2024. The four bonuses that come with this Event Ticket can be found below.
- Raid Battles will reward you with 50 percent more XP.
- Raid Battles will reward you with twice the Stardust.
- Higher likelihood of receiving Rare Candy XL following the successful completion of a Raid Battle.
- Obtain an extra eight free Raid Passes from spinning Photo Discs at Pokemon Gyms.
Best Hisuian Typhlosion Raid Strategies
Hisuian Typhlosion's Raid will be a Three-Star Raid, a tier of Raid that can be successfully completed solo, but may cause you trouble if you are not using top-tier Hisuian Typhlosion counters. For this reason, attempt Hisuian Typhlosion's Raid with the help of at least one other Trainer if possible, guaranteeing that you'll emerge victorious.
Additionally, Hisuian Typhlosion is a Fire and Ghost dual-type Pokemon, giving it a handful of weakness in its Raid Battle. This includes attacks that are either Dark, Ghost, Ground, Rock, or Water-types, all dealing increased damage against Hisuian Typhlosion.
Pair these super-effective attack types with Pokemon that have matching types.
This will activate the Same Type Attack Bonus, adding bonus damage to your attacks.
Make sure to go into this Raid with several powerful Pokemon with attacks of these types, especially if you are attempting it on your own.
