The Kleavor Raid Day will be taking place on Saturday, May 6, from 11 am local time to 2 pm local time, populating Pokemon Gyms with Kleavor Raids during this event window. In addition to Kleavor being featured in Raids, there will be a handful of bonuses available to all who participate, ones that you definitely won't want to miss out on.

Pokemon Debut: Kleavor

With Kleavor making its Pokemon Go debut with this Raid Day, it's important to discuss the details of this specific Pokemon.

First discussing its specific type combination, Kleavor is a Bug and Rock dual-type Pokemon, differing from the typing of the other two Pokemon in its evolutionary line, Scyther and Scizor.

Although Kleavor evolves from Scyther, you will not be able to complete this evolution in Pokemon Go currently.

As of right now, the only way to acquire Kleavor is through the successful completion of its Three-Star Raid.

With this dual-typing, Kleavor is resistant to both Poison and Normal-type attacks and is weak against Rock, Steel, and Water-type attacks. It's important to keep these in mind when choosing which Pokemon to battle with during Kleavor's Raid.

Additionally, Kleavor's Shiny variation will be available with its Pokemon Go debut. Make sure to participate in as many Kleavor Raids as possible during this event, maximizing your chances of encountering and catching its rare Shiny variation.

Kleavor Raid Day: Bonuses

During the three-hour duration of Kleavor's Raid Day, there will be a handful of bonuses available to all Pokemon Go players. All of these have to do with either Kleavor or Raiding and can be found listed below.

  • Increase in Kleavor Raids throughout this Raid Day
  • Higher chances of encounteringShiny Kleavor
  • You can obtain up to five extra Raid Passes by visiting Pokemon Gyms from 11 am local time to 4 pm local time
  • You can useup to ten Remote Raid Passes instead of only five for the entire day of Saturday, May 6

Tips For Raiding Against Kleavor

As mentioned previously, during this Raid Day, Kleavor will be available in Three-Star Raids, providing you with less of a challenge compared to other higher-tiered Raid encounters. For this reason, you can expect to defeat Kleavor with a group ofone to three Trainers.

That being said, if you are attempting to complete this Raid with a smaller group, or even solo, it's important that you're going into it with solid counters to Kleavor. This includes powerful Rock, Steel, or Water-type Pokemon, with attacks that match their specific typing.

Additionally, you'll want to make sure that you'restocked up on different Potions and Revives for this Raid Day. This will allow you to quickly revive and heal any Pokemon that were knocked out in Raid battles, allowing you to rapidly move onto the next one.
