Celesteela falls into this category, one of the many Ultra Beasts introduced to the game with the Season of Light, only able to be found in Five-Star Raids. We've put together everything you need to know about this Ultra Beast, including all the information you need to defeat it with ease.
Recommended Group Size
Like other Ultra Beasts in Pokemon Go, Celesteela can be found vacating Five-Star Raids, one of the most difficult Raid Tiers currently in the game. That being said, this Raid battle proves to be slightly less difficult than other Five-Star Raids against Legendary Pokemon.
For that reason, it is recommended that you take on Celesteela with a Raid party of at least three to five people. It is possible to defeat this Raid Pokemon with a smaller group size, but having more people will allow you to defeat Celesteela with no problems whatsoever.
Celesteela: Strengths And Weaknesses
Like with any Pokemon, Celesteela has specific strengths and weaknesses in battle due to its Steel and Flying Dual-typing. Possessing many strengths due to its Dual-typing, Celesteela is resistant to Ground, Normal, Flying, Steel, Psychic, Dragon, Fairy, Poison, Bug, and Grass-type attacks. Avoid using Pokemon and attacks of these types for the best chances of defeating Celesteela.
Celesteela has a double resistance to Poison, Bug, and Grass-type attacks. This means that these types of attacks do even less damage than those that are just resistant.
Compared to its strengths, Celesteela has far fewer weaknesses, only being vulnerable to Fire and Electric type attacks. To ensure that you are successful in this Raid battle, make sure that you are using Pokemon with powerful attacks of either of these two types.
You will do more damage to other Pokemon if you are using attacks that match the type of your Pokemon.
In Pokemon, this is called STAB, or Same Type Attack Bonus, and is essential when attempting to further increase your overall damage.
