Raging Turret Affinity And Skills

Raging Turret, while sporting an outstanding defense, is not without its weaknesses. Its high damage output and buffing abilities are offset by a predictable turn pattern and exploitable affinity vulnerabilities.

Attacks and Skills

Load Bullets

Raging Turret will load bullets in preparation for its attack next turn.

Tarukaja

Increases the Raging Turret's attack for 3 turns.

Rakukaja

Increases the Raging Turret's defense for 3 turns.

Sukukaja

Increases the Raging Turret's Accuracy/Evasion for 3 turns.

Vile Assault

Deals heavy Piercing damage to 1 target. Does additional damage if the target is downed.

Charge

The next physical attack performed will do more than double the damage it would normally deal.

Heat Wave

Deals heavy Strike damage to all enemies.

Raging Turret has an inherent weakness to Wind-type moves, which can effectively disrupt its rhythm and significantly reduce the time this fight will take.

Raging Turret has a unique ability to load bullets during each of its turns; these bullets determine the moves it is capable of using.

Each turn is completely scripted and will occur according to how many turns have progressed throughout the scenario.

The following table describes how each turn is spent by the floor guardian, Raging Turret:

Turn

Raging Turret Actions

1

Raging Turret starts the fight with 0 bullets loaded and has to spend its first turn loading bullets.

2

  1. With 3 bullets, Raging Turret will use Tarukaja, Rakukaja, and then Sukukaja all in one round.
  2. Raging Turret will also load 2 bullets for the next turn.

3

  1. At 2 bullets, it will use Vile Assault and then Charge.
  2. Raging Turret will prepare 1 bullet for the next turn.

4

  1. With only 1 bullet left, Raging Turret will use Heat Wave.
  2. The floor guardian will load 3 bullets to renew the cycle, but this time, skipping the turn 1 primer and immediately moving to the 3-bullet round.

Additionally, it tends to rely heavily on its self-buffing skills, which can be capitalized upon by debuffing the boss at the right moment.

Raging Turret Battle Guide

After finally defeating the Heartless Relic and Rampaging Sands, the floor guardians of floor 125, you will proceed to the next floor of Tziah.

Normally, after defeating a floor guardian, you can continue in Tartarus or use a teleporter to reconvene at the entrance of Tartarus for various reasons.

You will not have this convenience this time around, as Raging Turret is the floor guardian of floor 126 of Tartarus, and you will be unable to have any sort of reprieve between this fight and the last.

Be prepared for both this floor guardian and the previous one. Use the teleporter on the 124th floor to return to the entrance of Tartarus to make any changes to your team. Make sure to bring plenty of HP and SP restoring items to use between these two difficult encounters.

Since this battle happens directly after the fight on the 125th floor, you must continue this encounter with the team you fought Heartless Relic and the Rampaging Sands.

For that fight, Akihiko and Yukari tend to be staples, so they will also be utilized here. Their roles become reversed in this fight as Akihiko takes a backseat as the support and healer while Yukari nukes this tank to smithereens.

Yukari Becomes The Team’s Ace

Yukari gets to play the role of a damage dealer this time around, thanks to her amazing set of Wind skills. Her Garula spell capitalizes on Raging Turret’s inherent weakness to Wind-type moves.

This move will devastate the Raging Turret as it not only chips away at the floor guardian’s HP but also knocks it down, setting the stage for your team to knock out a lot of health with an All-Out attack.

Yukari's Theurgy skill, Cyclone Arrow, deals severe Wind damage to the already Wind-susceptible Raging Turret, making Cyclone Arrow an easy match finishing skill.

Akihiko Will Provide Support

Akihiko, with his Tarunda skill, becomes an invaluable asset against the Raging Turret. Tarunda's power lies in its ability to lower an opponent's attack power.

Since the Raging Turret often focuses on charging up for powerful blows, using Akihiko's Tarunda skill at these intervals can significantly reduce the damage output of the turret's attacks.

Akihiko also possesses healing skills, which are essential for sustaining your team through any of Raging Turret’s attacks.

His capacity to restore HP and debuff the boss ensures that your party remains in good fighting condition throughout all phases of combat, allowing them to withstand the brutal onslaught from the turret's area-of-effect attacks.

Aragaki Will Fish For Criticals

Unfortunately, the team does not have another Wind Persona user on it. Instead, you can use a physical attacker to try and land some lucky critical strikes to get in an All-Out attack.

Raging Turret Nullifies Slash attacks, so bring afourth party member who can use Strike or Piercing damage. The best choice here would be Aragaki since he can use his Strike attacks and skills to attempt a knockdown each turn.

Switch To A Strong Wind Persona

For the Protagonist, use a Persona that has access to powerful wind skills.

Fortuna is a Persona of the Fortune Arcana that can learn Wind Boost at level 20. Wind boost increases the strength of all Wind skills by 25 percent.

Another great option is the Sun Arcana Quetzalcoatl. Quetzalcoatl innately knows Garudyne, which is an incredibly strong Wind skill that will chunk away at the boss’s HP.

Defeat Raging Turret Before Its Ultimate Move

Raging Turret is a floor guardian who attacks the team with a sluggish start. But once this challenger ramps up with its various buffing skills, it has thepossibility of wiping out your whole teamwith just one use of Heat Wave.

During the first two rounds of combat, Raging Turret will not use a single damaging skill. Use the start of this battle to dish out as much damage as possible.

If you want to beat this boss, you must act swiftly and attempt to finish the fight before it can reach turn four of the encounter.

If you cannot beat the boss before turn four, make sure to, at the very least, debuff the boss with Tarunda, or else prepare to spend the next several rounds of combat playing catch-up with healing.
