What Are Azmerian Wisps?

Azmerian Wisps appear as small balls of light that will begin to flee when you approach. As the Wisp moves, it will attract nearby monsters, which will then Influence the monsters with a specific Touched effect, granting them buffs.

The Wisp will attempt to influence Rare and Unique monsters as well, which it will Possess if it comes into contact with them. Possessed Rare and Unique monsters will periodically summon spirit animals of the same type to aid them in combat.

If you let the Wisp move too far away from you, it will disappear. The Wisp will also disappear if you die at any point while chasing it or fighting the Possessed monsters.

The Possessed monster will drop better loot than usual, and it will drop even more loot according to the number of Touched enemies you defeated leading up to the Possessed monster.
