One useful resource that got added in Palworld's 1.0 Update was Hardwood. It doesn't sound very exciting because it's just wood. But this specific type of wood features in plenty of different recipes in the game. So, it's very useful to have some in your inventory or at base.

Yet, finding some Hardwood isn't that simple. After all, there are a lot of trees in Palworld, and not many are made out of the stuff. Here is information on finding some and things you can use it for.

Where To Find Hardwood

From where you originally spawned, the closest place to get Hardwood is in the Twilight Dunes area, which is Northwest of the Tower of the Free Pal Alliance. Its exact coordinates are -131, -148 (you can see the coordinates in the top-left corner of the map screen).

You need heat-resistant clothes to survive in the Twilight Dunes, so the Tropical Outfit from level nine of the Technology menu works well.

Once you get there, you can find these strange-looking trees. They have little spiky leaves and branches that go in all sorts of directions. You only need a stone axe to harvest the Hardwood from them.

Another place you can find hardwood trees is around the Icy Weasel Hill at coordinates 3, 184. These trees are snow-covered.
